Gaucho Richmond - Menu

Came on a Monday night with friends. Lovely restaurant on the water. Beautiful environment. Great service the meat cooked to perfection. £70 per person for steak sauce sides and three glasses of wine each. Not bad at all!

the first meal was great, the second time that we ordered was cold and a completely different meal than the first, although we ordered the same dinge. tonight after an hour of waiting they could not deliver. they called to say that the restaurant was closed and that the shipper broke off. what is that? in the app it says we got our food. we didn't do it. they're staying away from this really poor suppe.

The steak was fatty and gristly, the sauce...was nowhere near as described in the menu, and the sides portions meagre. I agree with the other reviewer, the quality has dropped. Overall the experience wasn't worth the fee. We only paid the service charge because the waitress was so attentive. Don't go there for a quintessential steak experience, it no longer exists. AVOID

Have been to the Piccadilly Goucho many times but I must say I was very disappointed with this branch. I had a fillet steak which I asked for medium, it came out and was so rare that I could only eat the edges and left...all the middle bit. Sides were average and bland, not much flavour at all. When the staff member came over to ask how my meal was, I said in these exact works ‘the steak is too rare for my liking’, and I couldn’t believe the response was ‘sorry about that’, rather than offering to change it. I didn’t complain as I was with another couple and quite frankly being so busy on a Friday night, I didn’t want the embarrassment. I won’t be returning.

I have been to a few Grauchos before, but this was my first time in Richmond. The place was very busy. Service was very good as usual. The meal was let down by the quality of the steak. We ordered Ancho, Rib Eye. It's not...cheap so for the price I would expect not to have to spend an age chewing it and pulling bits of it off my teeth like hour old gum. The quality has definitely dropped since Covid closed them down for a year. We went to a Miller and Carter days earlier and for a similar price had a much better quality steak. Started off the evening at the steak house with a couple of cocktails. Preferring the rhubarb blush over the Hennessey julep as that needed a bit more sweetness to be as good as the other.
