"I’ve been going to this place for years since I live in the neighbourhood. However, tonight was my last time. I love the food and the the atmosphere, but the service is always challenging. Tonight proved to be really disappointing, even though it started off...so well. After dinner, the service literally disappeared. One waitress was sitting at the next table having a good chat, while our waiter or any other staff was out of sight. After waving our arms, and trying to get the waitresses’s attention, my friend was finally able to order a drink. Then time passed again without anyone coming around, sitting there with empty glasses, trying to get someone’s attention again... Basically we just wanted to get the bill, but this proved to be a real mission. There were no staff around, literally. The only waitress not ours was sitting at the next table, chatting with customers. When my friend had once again tried to get her attention, to ask for the bill, one of the patrons at the table got involved. Well apparently the guy was the “boss” as he said. When I politely asked the man to mind his own business, he just kept going, further insulting us verbally. We felt unwelcome, attacked, insulted, and basically treated without respect. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable, and as a result, the Grosswirt lost another customer, together with all my friends and acquaintances. I will make sure all of my friends are aware of the ignorance, unprofessional behaviour, and aggression the “boss” and his staff delivered tonight. Sincerely, Nina"

Authentic little german restaurant. The food was very good and felt very authentic. The service was OK, the waiters did not speak good English and did not have an English menu. We were with German friends, which were life savers. Definitely need reservations

After a business meeting, I stopped at this really nice restaurant on a side street off Rotkreuzplatz for lunch. The day was warm and sunny, so I sat at one of the outside tables and was greeted immediately by a friendly waitress. I ordered the...daily noon special, which this time was a pork cutlet in a mushroom Pfefferlinge cream sauce with a serving of Rosti fried patties of diced potato. It was wonderful! The pork was very tender, the sauce perfectly seasoned, and the Rosti nice and crunchy. And they served Augustiner beer on tap! The whole check including beer came to under Euros. A great price for some great food

I've been here for lunch two times. the first time I found eating better than visiting the second. I had very tasty at the first time gnocchi from the day card in white wine sauce, at the second time I had a full potato with sour cream or crumb and salat. the kartoffel was small and around the shell hard and brown so that from the very small kartoffel remained little over, the quark was very tight, but it tasted well. the salat was fresh the leaves and stalks were however hard and dry and it was too little salat sauce. a 0.5 scorle costs 4€ that is more high price cappuccino 3,80€. that is located directly opposite my job, so the colleagues here like to eat regularly. the service was flott a...
