"Sind wir im Tessin besuchen wir das Grotto sehr gerne. Wunderbare Tessinerküche - besonders der Brasato mit Polenta hat es uns angetan. Die Gastgeber sowie die Bedienung sind herzlich und freundlich, auch gefällt uns das gepflegte Ambiente. Kann das Grotto nur weiter empfehlen."

"Food is great but be careful when ordering your meal. I had two kids and we asked if there’s a kids meal. They recommended that we order a steak good for two. Same way for for me and my wife for a grilled seabass since a single seabass is good for two. I am surprised when i saw the bill. It was 2xprice of an adult steak and 2 x the price of the seabass. Not happy with the price."

"Evening spent with colleagues. As soon as we sat down we informed the waiter that the number of people was lower than the established number. Consequently the waiter informs us that the kitchen closes at 8.30pm. The classic grotto dishes arrive (polenta, braised mushrooms etc. and so far so good except for the portions which were practically smaller than the people present. Two sliced meats... bread not even with binoculars and two pickles. Not to mention the meats... they seemed to have been reheated for days! In conclusion we were more or less all sick with stomachs without digesting. Absolutely avoid!"

"I had dinner at the crotto dei Tigli with colleagues from the company I work for. The place is welcoming, the staff very friendly and patient. We chose the menu which included an appetizer of cold cuts, all of excellent quality and as the main course the saddle of venison which melted in the mouth, a true delicacy, very well cooked. The side dishes such as chestnuts, sprouts and mushrooms were also excellent. Finally, an American grape sorbet which I tasted for the first time and I must say that I was fully satisfied."

"Ciao a tutti, sicuramente si mangia bene, ma il servizio da parte di un cameriere è stato pessimo e alcune persone mi hanno detto che non è la prima volta che lo vedono che lavora male... purtroppo non so come si chiami, è alto, magro e sulla 50na Purtroppo dalla descrizione è confondibile con un altro che invece lavora bene."
