"I ate a local kebab set a few days ago and it was great . Today I ordered for home own collection . The kebab set was cold, not tasty, full of vegetables . The fries were so hard they had been left for several hours . . I don't recommend takeaway . After this treatment, I will not visit this kebab and I do not recommend it . "I went here last night to get away from the over priced average food at the village hotel I was staying at. Pub is traditional and comfortable, staff were lovely and full of smiles. Food was excellent, big portions, home made and everything I ate was spot on. Meat just fell off the ribs, home made southern fried coating on well cooked chicken. Loads of dessert option, homemade sponges and cheesecakes. I had an excellent lemon drizzle. Well priced too, I only felt terrible as I didn't have any cash to tip my waitress, and wished there was a gratuity option on the contactless payment, which she fully deserved. Next time I'm in I will make up for it!"

"My family came to this restaurant three months ago for an intimate birthday celebration with five people. Every dish we ordered was served perfectly and in generous portions that we all enjoyed. The poppadoms with toppings were fresh and crispy, the pilau rice and plain rice were fluffy and flavorful, and the naans were hearty and better than any other I've had elsewhere. We tried multiple curries, including Chicken Tikka Masala and Jalfrezi, all of which were delicious and tender. I highly recommend this restaurant for families and small parties. Despite being busy, the quality of the food did not drop and we had a great experience overall. My family loves the Lamp Restaurant and we have visited before. Thank you to the staff!"

"The service at this restaurant was terrible, with rude staff members, particularly a blonde-haired woman. After waiting for an hour for our starters, I had to inquire about the delay as we were all very hungry, including a 2-year-old with us. It turned out that our order had been lost, and they offered a free drink to compensate, even though only two of us had alcoholic drinks. Another half-hour passed before we finally received our food, while the rest of the restaurant was already on dessert. We had only 30 minutes to eat a two-course meal before we had to leave. My Thai salad was dry, and when I asked for more sauce, the rude waitress brought me mustard mayo instead of the correct sauce. I expected our starters to be comped due to the long wait and rushed meal, but nothing was adjusted on the bill. After questioning this, the head waitress deducted £2.20 per person from the bill, while the blonde waitress continued to be disrespectful. I was appalled by the lack of customer service at this restaurant and will not be returning. Proper training is needed for the staff, as they did not notice we had been waiting for food for 1.5 hours while they were chatting around the till."
