We are frequent visitors to this restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone. The staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, and the food is both delicious and affordably priced.

I have returned to the Hen and Chickens as my local has had the same menu for two years . Like the menu , like the ales like how it has improved. Sat watching the bands and had a pizza , very nice. Has a good atmosphere. Will be using more often. Visualizza piatti

Popped in at 11:30 and met with a great greeting and allowed to choose where we sat. Had a beef panini and a bacon and Brie. Great service, food hot and served quickly. Would have liked a bit more salad with mine rather than a few sprigs of rocket. Overall great time keep it up.

I miss the carvery they used to do. It’s only lunchtime now. Wednesday evening is now Pie and a Pint £18. We also asked for veg broccoli It took a while to come. Pie and chips isn’t a difficult menu. The broccoli four small stalks was £2 extra. Memo to caterers don’t be mean on small things people will notice. I don’t think we’ll be back any time soon.

The Hen and Chicken is a charming pub with great character. In addition, the food is fantastic. We tried a variety of dishes, all of which were excellent. I particularly enjoyed the garlic prawns starter and the moist and flavorful salmon Teriyaki. The service was top-notch, with our waitress being helpful and very efficient. I don't even know where to begin..... my daughter and now son-in-law had their wedding at the Hen and Chicken barns, and Laura, Kev, and the team were absolutely incredible. They went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, and the food was also fantastic - hot and plentiful. "Thank you" doesn't even begin to express my gratitude. Thank you all so much for helping to make the day perfect. Your hard work and dedication are truly appreciated.

MY wife and I visited for an evening meal on a thursday which is advertised as 2 for 1 steak night and on looking at the bill we had mistakenly been charged the regular price, this was immediately put right after i mentioned it to the server but if i hadn 't checked i would have just swiped my card and been none the wiser until my bank statement arrived so beware also the disabled toilet is the worst i have ever seen although it can be used it is in a dire state and requires refurbishing throughout

Have previously had a lovely carvery with family here before, but whatever has happened? Chose beef and turkey. The chef couldn’t have sliced a thinner piece of beef if he’d tried and not a full slice either. It was also gristly. Turkey a bit better and more thickly sliced. Stuffing dry and hard I got the end piece). The roast potatoes and parsnips were good. Some almost empty dishes of veggies red cabbage, carrots and cabbage to choose from left overs perhaps from earlier servings. Gravy could have done with being hotter.
