"Bar Casa Julio, a small casual eatery on the central square, was busy on a Monday evening when many other restaurants are closed. We had a reservation for 9 p.m. When we arrived our table was waiting and all the other tables were full. The dining room is a small space next the bar with a large photo of the sea on the opposite wall. There are a few more tables on the front porch. The menu offers a few specials including a fish of the day, a list of shellfish and a few other fish and some meat dishes as well as salads, starters and boards of cheese or charcuterie. The server immediately recommended the fish of the day, which turned out to be sea bass. We ordered the sea bass and the squid in ink sauce, one of my favorites. The server dissuaded me on ordering the mixed salad saying that the fish came with a large salad. This turned out not to be true as it came with only a couple of slices of tomato on lettuce. The grilled fish was fresh and nicely cooked and was simply plated with unseasoned boiled potatoes and a salad garnish. The tender squid was in a rich ink sauce and served with limp French fries. I’ve seen complaints on Tripadvisor that they were surprised by the price of the fish special. They did not tell us in advance that the fish was 26€, which was high compared to other dishes on the menu, but for us not unreasonable. If you are concerned I would ask the price before ordering the fish of the day. Service is a bit abrupt and pushy but otherwise efficient."

Restaurante pequeño pero acogedor. La comida muy rica y el personal muy amable, te aconsejan al pedir la comida. Fuimos un grupo grande de 15 personas y nos atendieron muy bien!

De los mejores sitios de Cudillero. Era de las pocas abiertas en lunes. Pedimos la bandeja de conchas, la ensalada de queso de cabra y una tarta de queso. Todo genial, con unas vistas increíbles y con un trato de la camarera Candale, genial.

El mejor sitio para comer en Cudillero, La atención inmejorable por parte de Luis, simpatía pura y muy atento y cercano. La comida ALUCINANTE muy buena El ambiente súper bien, una terraza espectacular en plena plaza y con unas vistas Preciosas. Repetiríamos 100 veces y más

Restaurante totalmente recomendable! Buena ubicación y muy buen servicio, especialmente por parte de Luis, que fue quien nos atendió. Nos pedimos una parrillada de conchas, una lubina y tarta de queso. Todo muy bueno, de la lonja al plato prácticamente. Visita obligatoria 100

Estuvimos hace un mes cenando de paso por cudillero y me guíe como siempre por las reseñas y fue todo un acierto. Fuimos sobre las 8:30, tuvimos que esperar un poco pero merece la pena. Destacar que es un restaurante que no dispone de terraza, como el resto de restaurantes de la zona, por eso hay que llegar pronto para coger mesa. Atención especialmente bueno y los chicos súper atentos. A destacar los bocartes con una buena sidra de la casa. Chapeu!!!!!

This place calls itself a restaurant but serves a beach bar food. Fried pieces of seafood served without any sides on small rectangular plates. The service is lousy and the staff does not bother to give any explanations on what food is available or if there are specials. Salads came without any dressing in them and small plastic cans of oil and vinegar the waiter thrown on the table like for dogs. When they brought me a meal that did not look good and I did not want to eat it the staff told me I have to pay for that regardless. There is no concept of a decent service there.

Ordered monk fish from menu. Price 22 euros. Waiter asked where we were from. We said U.K. Scotland. He then proceeded to talk to us in very fast Spanish which we said we didn’t understand. Fish with a few potatoes , some lettuce and two slices of tomato were produced. When we asked for bill, the charge for the fish was 32 euros each rather than the 22 which would have been rather expensive in any case. When we questioned the bill, three members of staff got quite aggressive and while we offered to settle up based on a price of 22 euros per head for the main course we were threatened with the police.
