the first time here today and really enjoyed it. eating was a very high standard and was delicious. elaine, who served us, was such a beautiful lady and spoke of it. will be back

real Italian cuisine experience! the decor is so warm and cozy. the personal is friendly. they have gluten-free options and half-sized components. the booking is recommended but they go when there is space. eating was full of taste and fair praise.

Everything was great from booking to entering and ordering food. Staff were attentive and interacted well with our small group. The food was delicious and it was 4 different choices for mains. Great service and all done by very busy staff who still smiled all the time.

Nice food, freshly cooked and piping hot. The melon in our starter was a bit hard though, maybe not quite ripe enough. Service OK and friendly although no-one asked if we needed more drinks, so we had to attract the waitress attention to get more. Not too busy when we were in, but steady flow of customers in and out. Good value for the quality of food and portions good but not too much.

visit from America, came over la gondola when we returned to our hotel. incredible menu with many choices, filling portion sizes with wonderful taste (we had the dishes of gnocchi with chorizo, and ravioli filled with wild wild boar, both dressed with creany tomaten sauce) charming decor and friendly, personable service. if we live here, la gondola would be at least a weekly meal for us!

This is a great place for a casual night out that won't break the bank. We have eaten here 3 times and have enjoyed our food and service each time. I wanted something that wasn't on the menu and the owner was happy to oblige. My favourite simple dish of spagetti agio, olio et peperoncino. It was so good. Service with a smile, great food and an Italian in the kitchen. What more could you ask for?

a group of 4 of us went tonight to la gondel, for the second time in this week, when two of us were eaten on Sunday (7/8/22) and enjoyed so much. there is a great choice to choose and eat is delicious. the pasta dishes are very tasteful and traditional. the portions we found generous. the personal is friendly and welcoming. I was pleased that the special committee was different at the second visit. some places seem to have listed the same specials all the time. I'm glad to visit next time we're in the opposite. I recommend la gondola.

Been in tonight to be faced with a rude manager who took the huff after being asked to move us table so we weren’t sitting near the door in the cold. Then when I (with a serious nut allergy) asked for allergy information they said they don’t have any sheets to show us (nor is it on the menu) despite this being law and instead insisted I “trust them, there’s no nuts….well except for behind the bar but that’s no where near food… except it is near the desserts stuff.” Left immediately, like I get it’s clearly not a big deal for you or your servers but it’s literally life or death for me
