"We loved in Germany from 1974-78 and traveled to kayserberg many times, dining at many of the fine restuarants there! In June 2015, we were in France and traveled to Kayserberg. As it was two years ago, we cannot remember the names of the restaurants we dined at for lunch and dinner, but they were fabulous! One of the meals was Choucroute, a combonation of the mist wonderful, mellow sauerkraut or " choucroute" in the French language, with a variety of ham hocks, sausages, porkmchoos and other variety pork delicacies piled on top! We highly recommend this dish..We gave the one above a five star, as an example of most of these fine Alsatian Restaurants!"

Excellent restaurant. Very friendly welcome, a friendly, attentive, efficient waitress. The dishes are all simply excellent and in quantity. In short, an address to recommend. I would come back with great pleasure during my next visit to Kaysersberg. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

My work colleague and I had the special of the day and a Christmas beer to drink in moderation. On the menu: sirloin steak and fries and a small salad prepared separately. The meat of Charolais origin was perfect. We feel that the restaurateur takes care of his customers and wants them to appreciate his cuisine. All at a very reasonable price. Which has become rare these days. I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed. Parking: Plenty of parking spaces around. We chose to go to the parking lot of the convenience store located just behind the restaurant.

This restaurant is actually in Kientzheim (as owner was at pains to point out!) although just across road from Kayserberg. As not in centre less used by tourist. Restaurant has a slight cafe feel/look to it. However we had an excellent meal - my wife had one of the best foie gras she has had in a long while (sorry to those fussy about food). I had an excellent starter main (wild deer) and dessert. Owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about regions and wines. (We went to one he recommended and it was exceptionally quality/value).Definitely worth a visit if you are staying a few days and want to avoid usual tourist haunts in main town.

"L'Alchemille is a 1 star Michelin restaurant located in the Alsatian village of Kaysersberg. The menu here is a surprise, you just get to choose between 5, 7 or 9 course. The chef will gives what what he wants, what's fresh that time in his garden, and what he feels like cooking. I like the element of surprise so it wasn't an issue. Before you're asked if there are any ingredients you don't eat, or if you have any allergies,Service is good, not so much fluent in English but in a way or another you get to communicate. Wine list is good and includes wines for everyone's budget, somellier is more towards selling expensive wines, but he knows his job.Dinner kicked off with a bottle of Cremant,a nicely presented amouse bouche and fresh bread, It then followed with a variety of dishes which included potato mousse, beef tomato with basil snow. deer tartare, salmon, mustard zabaion, pigeon leg, munster and 2 desserts. The star of the night was the beef tomato with herbs and basil snow, followed by the pigeon with glazed peas, carrot puree and pigeon juice. To finish off we were given some petit fours, not bad but it can be improved. We later had a chat with chef Jerome Jaegle who surely has a passion for what he does, and no wonder he was awarded a Michelin star, his creativity on a daily basis is something few can do and maintain such a standard.Total came to around €130 including mid priced wine, 9 course is reasonably priced at €78.If you're in the area, it's a place you'd love to visit. I'll be back."
