What can I say! I was an incredible experience. The food was amazing, delicious. Service impeccable. My friends, who are locals treated me to a lovely dinner yesterday. It's an insider tip and a must, when visiting Hamburg.

Incredibly tasty, great atmosphere, typically Italian original Chef and his crew! You have to try it if you love Italian food! Menu can change daily depending on the availability of ingredients. If it would be just a bit cheaper I would go there much more often!

There are several good Italian restaurants in Hamburg but this one stands out. Fresh ingredients and simple combinations = fantastic flavors! Excellent Scampis. Super Beef. I shall not say this is the best italian in HH but its the best I have visited. And yes they dont take cash And the waiter reads up the menu And he doesnt mention the prices i guess you can ask... But it doesnt...change that the food is outstanding. Its simple dishes where they use top quality ingredients. And for wine fans this is good. I would say very decent prices and strong selection! And i have been there twice now. Both times top notch

This is the second meal in Hamburg to follow my gourmet eating friends guidance, the restaurant is very clozy and the food offered was very much like an itiaian mama cooking for you.Cooking with love and heart and everything appropriately served with right temperature and portion.My wife, son and daughter were all enjoyed and finished every dished, and when the chef came to ask me how's the food, I told him 'Second to Non' Moreover, I like the energy of the staff in the restaurant, very efficient an polite. Overall service was excellent.

Our friends who have been going here every week for the past 30 years invited us and it was the best meal we've had in Hamburg. Real authentic Italian, the beef carpaccio was sliced so thin, I'm at a loss as to how they did it. There's no menu, your server (in our case the owner) recited the entire menu off the top of his head. Impressive in itself. Eating out in Hamburg is cheap and always good but a lot of the restaurants offer the same - bratkartoffel, flammkuchen, schnitzel, curry-wurst or pizza and pasta. Having lived in beautiful Hamburg for going on 5 years, I struggle to understand that some reviewers claim L'Europeo to the best Italian in the city. I can easily think of 6-8 restaurants that are clearly better!But that being said L'Europeo is defintely a good restaurant. The terrace is very nice and the service is OK (but not more). As starter I had some quite uninteresting Calamaretti (just deep fried and with a slice of lemon...) followed by a well cooked rabbit (but again nothing special). The wine card has a strong selection and the wines are tempered (wine refrigerator), very nice! Not impressed as such, but I will eventually come back here.....

If you can find this restaurant...This restaurant is hidden by trees and bushes, so you don't see anything. There isn't a sign visible from the street. The very small parking lot (also not defined by any signs) looks like someone's private yard. Once you actually find the restaurant, there are shabby, old signs with the restaurant name on the building. Once you walk in, it's very simple looking and still, you wonder if the food will be any good. This is really a place where the saying, "don't judge a book by its cover" is true. Very delicious, authentic, and fresh dishes (the menu is explained to you by memory from your server), friendly, helpful and professional staff, and simply a pleasant...

that was my first time in this excellent restaurant. I was surprised to read that it already existed since 1980.
