The meals are always great and the menu offers a variety of options. The Cauliflower Buffalo wings are outstanding, even for someone who typically eats meat. The staff is welcoming and attentive, making you feel valued and appreciated. This pub is the best in the area.

My family of five had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious in every aspect. The falafel burrito was large and tasty, perfect for sharing with my daughter. The wobbles were also very good. My husband enjoyed the Mexican burger, while my other daughter had a children's meal with chicken tenders. It was evident that the owner or manager takes great care in the quality of the food served. Thank you for a lovely meal.

We came to this restaurant on a whim, looking for a dog-friendly pub with food. It was a beautiful and welcoming pub with a cozy fire in the bar. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. I had a delicious 14oz gammon with homemade chips, and my friend had a fantastic 16oz rump steak that she said was the best she had ever had. Our waitress was lovely and provided us with excellent service. I am excited to return for Sunday lunch this weekend. There are not many traditional pubs like this one left. Well done!

If you are in or passing through Carmarthen do call into the Mansell Arms. Contemporary interior which is warm and inviting as was the welcome. A limited menu but covers all bases. I had the veggie option of homemade wrap and felafels with chunky chips..., salad and onion rings ! Delicious and substantial. Spiced chicken breast, salad and sweet potato fries was well prepared and presented. Equally good was the burger. No room for a dessert sadly. In these COVID times make time for the Mansell Arms it is a little gem.

we visited this pub during the holiday in carmarthen . john the new renter had only taken over the day before. he is a nice young man and made us feel very welcome. we also met some welsh chorus members and. what a visit in memory. the sang a few songs for us and what amazing they had, it seems they meet there every Sunday. the only disadvantage is that there are no more meal times, and the opening times were very hit and mis . we hope that this pub will come back into operation when all restrictions are lifted, john deserves that he will be a viable business, his enthusiasm is very obvious that he likes his job.

We ended up at the Mansel after a recommendation. What a little find! Right in the middle of Carmarthen a short walk away from the car park at St Catherine’s walk. The pub was quite quiet when we got there but soon started to fill...up with people watching the match. The staff were really attentive without being obtrusive. We ordered food, the menu was ok had quite a few choices along with a specials board. The food arrived quickly and was really tasty I wouldn’t say it was home cooked but it was well cooked and tasty. We watched both matches and were pleasantly surprised to get a complimentary sausage and chips at half time. We would definitely go again next time we’re in Carmarthen.

First I'd like to put forward that I'm a 2nd generation American and 2 of my grandparents came to America from Wales. Secondly, besides owning 6 restaurants years ago and were Michelin rated I'm a real fanatic and picky on what I'm served. Last year...I wanted to go to Wales and visit my roots and meet my blood relatives in Wales. I'm pretty old but I still wanted to finagle this trip. I had a great mix of different meals for our bunch and of course with a good dose of beer to wash it down. I love going to Pubs' in the UK and this was no exception. It's a great place to eat and it's so unique and user friendly that locals can even bring their chosen bat man', meaning mans best friend his dog...
