"Fuimos en dos ocasiones la misma semana. Ya lo conocíamos de una visita en el 2019 que nos dejó un buen sabor de boca. Leyendo nuestra crítica anterior y recordando aquella comida, puedo decir que ha mejorado. En general todo muy bueno. Es verdad que si las alcachofas son de bote, lo mejor es no venderlas. Aunque se entiende por que no estamos en temporada. A mí entender con la calidad que dan es mejor quitarla de la carta. COMIDA: Solomillo de vaca 9. (Perfecto en todo) Carrillera 7. San Jacobo 6 Alubiones 7 Alcachofas 5. De bote Tarta de queso 9. (Muy buena) Chocolate y natillas 6 Brochetines 7. Tartar de atún rojo 7. Salmorejo Cordobés 8. Bacalao con tomate 8. Burrito 7."

"My partner and I flew from the UK, and we had a wonderful time exploring some of Isla Cristina’s local restaurants. Casa Rufino was so far one of the best restaurants we had been to. The food is *outstanding* (I emphasize the word! , and service was impeccable, prompt and friendly. Founded in 1956, this is clearly a restaurant where locals go to treat themselves to a gorgeous meal. We chose the “tosta sardina” (succulent! Order at least two of those if you can! A great way to start the meal , followed by the extraordinary “artichoke with prawns and ham”. Words fail to describe how tasty this dish was: artichoke cooked to perfection, on which sat fresh, moist and perfectly grilled prawns. Simple, fresh ingredients cooked in a masterful way. Our meal ended with two delicious pieces of sea bass and the “brick of aubergines”. This restaurant is a reasonably priced, must-visit place for all who holiday in Isla Cristina. Highly recommended! (You will need to book in advance, to ensure you get a table, as this place quickly fills up with locals!"

"An amazing place with great atmosphere and even better food. Family run, homemade with love. In the summer they host quite a lot events (jazz and blues concerts) and in winter some free activities like birdwatching or all kinds of workshops. It’s also a great place for kids, so if you’re looking for a place for a family Sunday lunch that’s where you should be! The food is amazing, also you’ll find there some vegetarian options. And let’s not forget about craft beers. Totally recommended"

"Las bebidas no las trajeron de manera adecuada. Lo lógico es llevar cuatro bebidas en bandeja y no con las manos y debajo del sobaco. Literal: debajo del sobaco. La boca de la botella iba en el sobaco y la coca-cola la trajeron servida en el vaso. Además, como traían las bebidas sin bandeja, al dejar una de las copas de cerveza, derramó parte de su contenido. Las masas de la pizzas son regulares. Casi parecen de la que venden en el súper. Y el calzone no saben hacerlo: de relleno sólo ponen la mozzarella y por encima el tomate y resto de ingredientes. La salsa de la pasta fresca parecía pisto de bote. El sabor en general estaba bueno y el precio aceptable. Pero no es un sitio recomendable. Dicho esto, depende de tu nivel de exigencia. Y como resumen: calidad/precio bien."

"My wife and I popped in for lunch on a day trip to Spain from our base in the Algarve. We ate outside on a busy Sunday lunchtime with the February sun shining. Service was mixed but nothing to complain about really. We ate Salmorejo, which was nice followed by a seafood rice dish (not paella). Prices were reasonable and the food was very nice. Best of all was the view of the sea and great atmosphere."
