Unfortunately, I found this disappointing. Recently taken over with new chef, things did not run smoothly. Main mussel dish was good sea bass but everything else was very average. I had a wonderful dining experience with great food, and given its central location in Cowes, the prices are understandable. The service was excellent, but I was disappointed to find no real ales available, not even in bottles! It was a shame to settle for Italian lager instead. We dined upstairs in a nice, quiet area with only four or five tables. The service was fantastic, matched only by the quality of the food. While dining here isn't the cheapest option, it is certainly good value for the money. The meals were freshly prepared, and we appreciated being able to enjoy our food and drinks at our own pace, without feeling rushed for the next course. Overall, it was a wonderful evening for everyone involved.

I recently attempted to make a reservation for our family, but I discovered that they only accommodate children aged 13 and older. Since our youngest is 10, we were turned away. I find this quite disappointing, especially as our daughter is well-behaved. Because of this policy, I’ve decided that we will not be dining at this establishment in the future, and I will be sharing our experience and their stance with friends. I can honestly say that the meal I just enjoyed at this restaurant was the best I've had in many years. I felt confident ordering a steak, and it turned out to be perfectly cooked, accompanied by wonderfully flavorful and well-balanced sides. Living in London, I love to cook and have dined at many places over the years, with varying results, so I truly appreciate it when we find a restaurant that serves excellent food.
