"My friend and I were visiting Edinburgh and it was our first night here when we decided to try Mussel Inn upon the recommendation of our host. The place was packed both indoor and outdoor so the staff politely informed us to wait till there's a free table. It only took about 10 minutes when we were called in for indoor seating. We didn't mind as it was a bit chilly outside. The place is casual with lively ambience and light hues interior. We started with haggis bonbon which one friend thought I wouldn't like. But I actually found it to be well-seasoned and cooked. The crispy coat of the balls match the soft inside of them. We added mussel platter as starter and then for our main I had a spiced fish stew and grilled sea bass for my friend. All were good and well flavoured."

Really lovely lunch... mussels were amazing in the blue cheese sauce and my husband enjoyed the whitebait. Speedy service, good value for money and a lovely atmosphere.

after years I revisited and it was the same pleasant quality meeres fruit. my favorite is the clam bowl. selection of Scottish style dishes with a mix of international choices.

This restaurant is wonderful. Service is good quick. I had whitebait to start, cooked beautifully. I then had hake. Once again it was delicious. Excellent restaurant for fish dishes.

The mussels are truly spectacular here, some of the best I've ever had. And the sauce was just amazing,I had the special mussels of the day which I can't quite remember (something slightly spicy) but it was absolutely delicious, and the entrées were also fresh and tasty. Highly recommended

the two of us ordered half kilo kal and chilimuschel and half blue chesss both were so delicious! the texture was very delicate and tasted very fresh. the fried noodles were not bad, a good choice if they want to balance a main thing with the mushes. the seafood cahowder was quite average. but overall a very fulfilling seafood meal!

we had to try the sensenhaus after we had migrated a few times and smell the food. we are so glad we made it! the service was excellent and so it was! our waiter was personal and helpful. I had the smoked salmon app and see bass entree, would both recommend! the feta with the soul was of this world. others in our party had the cuddles and said they were also great.

in the mai 2022 as a couple. this place is really popular. we had two half-shell pots (original and skaloparden) and a bivalve. mustels are really fresh and pasta is made exactly right. maybe 2 half pots a pasta is too much for 2 people. would suggest half a pot to try something else. expensive, it is not too expensive to dinner in a sitting restaurant in edinburgh.

looked outside and made a similar day booking (many options for lunch on a Sunday, while the franse surprising! . the service was somewhat slow, especially for the fresh oysters, but it was not disturbing as we were in no special hurry. she was very kind. the seafood pasta was good I would recommend it. I had the sea bass that was cooked well, but I did not love the Veg/Salad that came under (that had feta . I would try something else next time.

beautiful experience today in the Mustel-Inn to lunch. because I wasn't sure how much time to bring my burgburgh, I didn't reserve a table. When I came in, I was hoping the host would take me. he was so gracious and set me up in a few minutes. the meal was just so delicious: smokey salmon on crispy toast for a starter and then half a kilo of snuggling pot, which was cooked in own juices, was perfect. I can't say enough good things about my meal. delicious food, delicious food and served perfection. I recommend the

"new kapitel has caught my attention after I was on top ten on trip advisor only months after the opening in the oktober last year. that and the fact that it is open for my early january birthday, made it the perfect place to celebrate to become a little older. I was with the man and his family. the man is quite used to my taste and good to the kind of kitchen that would appeal to me for a special occasion; his family not so much and I was filled with shame as his mother scornful went through the menu trying to find something she would enjoy. I've eaten with the family of the man, and I know they enjoy eating, so I think it's a failure of the menu that it is not accessible. the benming always blooming and garnish can appeal to some, but for others it is overcomplicated and it is necessary to find a balance between the two. we start with the starters and I go for venison sour wort pithvier. the venison was underheated and incredibly dry, to the happiness the sourded a little moisturizing and so saved the whole dish, but the aromen were quite not clear, except the garnitur of plastered mushrooms I thoroughly enjoyed. for the largest part we chose a fish dish for our main,- sea trout, smoked muddles, petersilien and coast herbs. where the starter fell, the main recording is getting back. the dish is rich and creamy, and each element adds the complexity of the taste as a whole, without disturbing. the concept is now an old one, and it would be deceptive if it had not worked, as it would essentially pay with this place. I enjoyed my meal in new chapter, although I do not agree with it is stellar status under the hierarchy of edinburgh eateries. it is top ten position is just a flash in the pan of hot popularity, and in time it will be plated in the upper half of the middle stage where it belongs. and that is where it belongs, the dishes can be plated with a michelin star in understood, and the venue and the supporting media has the clean lines and empty slate look of fine but eat the team has a long gone to go if that is their real aim. at the end, although it was a beautiful meal, and cheap (at the moment I would not be surprised to see their prices slowly rise) and the man’s mother found something they enjoyed and that is the most important."
