"Last time we went to Schanz, the restaurant had 2 Michelin stars. Last year they we're honoured with a third one, so reason enough for us to verify if it was better than last time. The restaurant and decoration didn't change, so we we hopen that Michelin gave the extra star for the food. And yes masterchef Thomas Schanz has created, in my opinion 2 new signature dishes. His golden egg is still a devine appetiser, but he created a new one with mackerel and abricot. And then a sublime dessert with orange and olive. Once again Thomas and the whole team serve that third star."

"I can recommend the Wey farm. We stayed on Sunday, 25.02.2018 at 5th and had already reserved in advance what was also good, because the restaurant was also very well visited at noon. All tables were occupied. We sat in the lower, rustic cozy guest room. Already the telephone reservation, as well as the personal reception were very friendly. The staff was very attentive and nice. The menu was already on the homepage. From my point of view, there is something here for everyone. Only wild was not on the map. But this may also be a seasonal story. At the appetizers the carpaccio was really great, as was the potato cellar cream soup. Not the description of the menu corresponded to the grilled sheep's cheese in the vat, which we also complained. From my point of view, it was rather grilled Mediterranean vegetables with sheep cheese cubes. If you don't like such vegetables, there's a big deal about the sheep's cheese. Fantastic was the Rumpsteak with herbal butter that was very similar to a fillet steak. The best Rumpsteak I've seen so far. Schnitzel Wiener Art, medallions from the pork fillet and the fried maize pulp breast were very delicious, everything was tender and juicy. The real melted chocolate for the ice lady Blanche is worth mentioning. 99% we liked to resort to ready-made sauces, which is not comparable. The mango mousse was also very delicious. All in all we were very satisfied and can recommend a visit without restriction!"

"Update. War dort auf Montage. Frühstück hat eine gute Auswahl und ist stets frisch. Der Herr der Hauses, immer gut gelaunt und einen lockeren Spruch auf den Lippen, brachte sogar frisch gebackene Eier an den Tisch. Zimmertechnisch gut, aber nicht überragend. Hat ein sehr rustikales, angenehmes Ambiente, wie bei Oma fast. Betten sind bequem, Dusche, WC, Fernseher, alles da. Zimmer sind ordentlich und sauber. Leider sind aber auch die Spuren der Zeit nicht an dem Hotel vorbeigegangen, so sind die Sanitäranlagen recht alt und nicht mehr ganz in technisch einwandfreiem Zustand. Zudem recht beengt alles, aber das ist oft so in älteren Hotels. Kann man mit leben. Einzig stören würde mich etwas, dass die Zimmertüren im Gästehaus große Glastüren sind, die ebenfalls schon sehr alt und auch nicht mehr ganz schall- und luftdicht sind, sodass es stetig leicht zieht. Ansonsten günstig und gut, für mal ne Woche Urlaub ausreichend. In der Nähe, fußläufig in 10 Minuten zu erreichen ist eine Gewerbegebiet mit Lebensmittelläden. Ein Stern bei Service möchte ich jedoch abziehen, da die Dame des Hauses etwas ruppig rüberkam, wann immer wir mit ihr in Kontakt traten."
