I visited this place several times with work colleagues and found the staff always friendly and eating very well. I can recommend one of the steaks on the menu

Apetizers took 45min. Steak took more than hour. Sides were served 10 min later and steak already cooled off. Steak was really good! It took 20 min to get the bill.

I can only say it's unbelievable, that's always a good meal! I was happy with good friends there and that made it even better. they must make a respect when they are.

the menu is filled with steaks, so probably no place to come to if they want something else. the food was delicious, even with good sides. this place is more focused on eating than on service and decoration?

This is a good address if you just want a very good steak. They grill their steaks on an open fire in the restaurant. The side dishes are plentiful and very tasty. The wine list is a tad-bit weak for my taste. The restaurant itself is a little bit cool. It feels like it could do with some deco: table-cloths or softer light. All-in-all: very good.

We went to this restaurant as our first choice was closed. How lucky we were. The food was really excellent. I eat a lot of steaks therefore I think l can judge the quality. And the steaks at Schlotfeger are really great. I had a rib-eye steak and it was just perfectly grilled. By the way they have front cooking and a charcoal grill. Great choice!

Found this restaurant via tripadvisor in December when searching for an alternative to my favorite. The reviews made me curious, so I went. This is the third time in 4 weeks that I have been back - that speaks for itself! But some more detail for you: "Food"One disclaimer: I have had the same thing three times: a 500g el grande rump steak. With spinach. Nothing else. I send the spiced butter back. The thing rocks; I order it medium and it came picture perfect three times. Crusty outside, nice and tender inside. EXACTLY the way I want a steak. Visited the place with a few colleagues on a belated Xmas dinner.Firstly, they had seemingly lost the reservation. So we changed tables 3 times in order to be able to accommodate the size of our group. The menus came and despite half the group not speaking German, we received only German menu's. No big deal, as people helped each other.Upon ordering the main, we had one waitress, who didn't really appear to pay attention as some things were ordered didn't come or came twice.
