"We had a superb meal , 7 courses worth certainly at least one Michelin star. Food service and Ambiente were excellent, the setting is superb. Parts of the menu were very Asian style and quite hot. Mention it before ordering if you don't like that! However, we did :)All very good with EXCEPTION of the sommelier where we had the strangest experience EVER: Our second wine was not in good condition. We agreed on this with the sommelier who tasted it as well. He then took it out of the cooler and we ordered another bottle. All good until we received the bill with the "bad" wine on it. We then kindly asked what the reason was (as he took it off the cooler and we didnt drink the wine). At least we would have expected some explanation. The sommelier then answered "well then I take it off", took 75 EUR in cash out of the till and on the bar, then dashed off without any further word. Very very unprofessional. We left the open bottle and the money there and left bewildered.Although such a great restaurant, we will unlikely come back unless we hear back or this sommelier leaves the place. After all, Deidesheim is THE wine place and all is about the great wines here !"

I have been to this place many times over the years and the food although of very good quality has often been mediocre at best for me or my company. Oh, and forget access to the internet. Unknown here!"

"Am letzten Wochenende waren wir mit einer Gruppe von vier Personen in einem Weingut in Deidesheim zur Weinprobe. Auf Nachfrage welches Restaurant man uns empfehlen könnte, wurde das Restaurant „Zum Woibauer“ der Familie Beck genannt. Kurzum entschieden wir uns auch dorthin zu gehen. Dort angekommen wurde uns auf der schönen Terrasse von der sehr netten Frau Beck ein Tisch zugewiesen. Kurz darauf stellte sich der gut gelaunte Herr Beck vor und war uns bei der Speiseauswahl behilflich. Ein gelungener Auftakt! Ebenso herausragend war die liebevolle Servicekraft Agnes, die uns mit ihrer netten und freundlichen Art durch den Abend begleitete. Das Essen war hervorragend. Ich hatte Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln. Aber auch die anderen Gerichte sahen lecker aus. Hier werden zu einem fairen Preis qualitativ hochwertige Produkte verarbeitet. Wir können jedem nur Empfehlen sich diese Restaurantperle in Deidesheim nicht entgehen lassen. Eine klare Weiterempfehlen und wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Ein großes Dankeschön aus dem Saarland für diesen tollen Abend."

"we were free day with 4 people eating. our reserved table was beautifully decorated, there were the menus and the desire for drinks was asked. the service was very dedicated, polite and was competently available for the choice of wine. the food was fantastic! the appetizer (gratinated goat cheese) was delicious and the salat tasted wonderfully. as main dishes we had red-bellied fillets and ochsenbäckchen and maishuhn - and everything was of excellent quality! the ochsenbäckchen are good for kneeling down!. and that dessert also did not have to hide - we were all full and satisfied, and that at a really good price-performance ratio!"

"Being German I visited this place on several occasions. About two hours from where I live I got there by coincidence, as a bypasser headed south along the tiny wine villages from Speyer towards Bad Duerkheim. On moto or convertible. Sunny weather preferred.BTW- forget it over weekends in most seasons. Dense traffic choking the small roads. No fun, even on a motorbike.An there I saw that "Winzerverein", turned around to see what looked like a small road but indeed was an access to a pleasant yard with outside furniture under trees. How beautiful!Checked the menu, prices were right, mainly local fare- all worth trying.Everything was nice: people, food, hostesses, the setting. I recommend it to my friends.Further down in the backyard there is a small shop selling local wines, schnaps and the like. There is an inside restaurant that I have never visited. Why should I? I'd been there on sunny days and then I wanted to sit outside anyway.My last visit was on March 4, 2017.BTW- opposite the entrance across the street, an small restaurant/cafe has opened. Italian style (Tuscany!), outside by the roadside, under trees, a small well. Best place to have your latte and a peace of cake. And peace of mind ..."
