A pleasant village pub and restaurant in a picturesque setting. Once through the entrance you are greeted with a generous bar with large dining rooms. Three cask ales on offer and the first sampled was just about palatable, the second was ok but not the best conditioned. We ate lunch from a menu with a good selection. Food was good and service also good. This pub is let down by the quality of its cask ale. I think four stars is generous. May be a while before we return.

Been driving past this place everything I go to work and finally went there on our dogs birthday. Soon as you leave the car in the lot you are hit with that charcoal grill smell that already gets your taste buds going. Ordered the burger and curry wurst with a wheat beer. For the dog a doggy burger and doggy beer(gravy). The food was cooked to perfection with the smokiness of the grill coming through as well as the wurst. The chip were spectacular, cut into almost like wing shaped making it crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Our dog loved his burger meat to boot.
