Visited this pub for the first time last week for lunch and had a really enjoyable experience. Lovely food and great staff.

Lovely roast dinner, service was a bit slow, out waitress Eleanor was lovely and very helpful and ensured that we were all happy

Arrived early but was still able to be accommodated, thought food would be nothing special but it was superb two of us had fish and chips and I am very fussy about this but it was the best I had.My husband had the Asian belly of pork and again he said it was wonderful, service was excellent and we will be going back.Thanks

The pub itself is beautiful, very old and rustic, timeless however ruined by the awful people. It used to be a lovely family pub the perfect place to bring your children and it has now become the local meeting point for the traveler community. Shame that management don't seem to care enough to protect the good reputation of the Royal Oak.

Really friendly welcoming pub to go to! All the staff are polite and cheerful, nothing was too much trouble for anyone, and all our needs were met, very good selection of food and something for everyone! Even a big selection for the kids, all the staff are happy to do anything to make your experience welcoming and enjoyable! I will be visiting again! Thanks team!

Came to the Royal Oak for dinner lovely service, friendly staff completely different experience to last time we came and was so surprised to see Laura! She used to be the Deputy Assistant Manager at Frankie and Bennys before she left. She didn’t recognise us and our children are grown ups now LOL but we used to dine there all the time. Such a small world. Will definitely be back.

I visited the Royal Oak on Friday 20th October and had a super time. There was an unfortunate situation during the evening but have to say that the manager and the team dealt with the situation amazingly well and professionally. As with all public places incidents occur out of the blue and it only takes one person to cause havoc. Well done Royal Oak for not letting it interfere with our perfect evening

I had been having difficulties finding a venue for my father’s wake. Many businesses wanted to offer us a minimal service for limited time and at a high price. When I approached Jamie and his team at The Royal Oak in Pirbright, they could not have been anymore accommodating, welcoming friendly and supportive. On the day everything was perfect, the food was very nice and we were given a large area in the pub for this private event. It was such a difficult and sad day for us, but they really went above and beyond as a team to make everything as wonderful and as smooth as possible. I highly recommend them and have come away with great memories as a result of their outstanding service.

We booked the Royal Oak for our fathers wake on Friday , Amazing staff , super friendly , so helpful , unfortunately a window got broken by an idiot who clearly had too much to drink but the staff dispersed the situation quickly and professionally , sometimes in life you get idiots whom clearly don’t have any respect , myself and family are so grateful to the Royal Oak for everything they did for us at our fathers wake he was a very popular man and they accommodated a lot of people , so when someone left a review calling it chaotic I felt extremely upset by that as our dad was such a popular man and was only 59 when he died a lot of people attended his wake , it was an unfair review , especi...
