Baked bread with amazing olive oil, savory fish soup and else, but what happens next totally spoiled...the whole evening: I asked for a bill and noted I will pay with a cardpreparing cash for tips and when waiter brought the POS terminal he asked how much I want to pay as afterwards I won’t be able to add. Was weird but okay, fine. Told him rounded sum with tips around than but what the heck, an the weirdest thing happenedhe asked “WHY SO LITTLE, AS NORMALLY IT’S ?! Then he threw the paper bill on a table and left angry. Personally I consider this an unacceptable behavior. This it the third time we have problem with the same waiterfirst time he shortchanged us, second time he also asked about tipsmore gentle than today, but still and now this. The next time I will consider visiting another restaurant or definitely ask for another waiter. It’s a pity when one person lets down the whole great crew and I have to wright such a review at all"

Sale E Tabacchi has been a local gem for years. Upon a recent visit we had the chance to sit on the back open air patio and enjoy a dinner with friends. I had the scampi and it was very enjoyable. So if you are...in Berlin and would like some authentic Italian dishes rather winter or summer, be sure to put this one on your list

The fagiola soup was hot and tasty and my partner enjoyed her linguine con vongole, even though full of the shells were empty. I ordered the orecchiette pasta with broccoli, anchovies, capers and chili flakes. What arrived was a super sweet tomato sauced orecchiette...pasta with eggplant. Evidently, I had been given the wrong menu and they could not give me the plate I wanted. Settled for a tagliatelle bolognese which was hot but no zing in the taste. It was filling at least. Our bill came with the orecchiette pasta still on it. It was only a single euro less for the tagliatelle, but it's my euro. Service, while friendly, was indifferent. Had to wait minutes for new plate to arrive so I did...
