"Unfortunately, we could not book online so risked just turning up as a party of 9 with the chances we would not be able to get a table. The staff welcomed us and went out of there way to accommodate us. They rearranged furniture for our party of 9, constantly making sure that we were happy where we were seated and that everyone could get comfortably around the tables as we also had a baby in a high chair. The staff sanitised the table and presented us with menus and colouring activities for the children. Staff constantly made sure that we were topped up with drinks. Food was absolutely beautiful, all our food was delivered by polite staff that made sure our order was all correct and we had all the condiments that we needed. The children's food was perfect temperature so they could eat straight away with the adults. Nothing worse than hungry kids waiting for their food to cool down, hats off to the kitchen staff. The whole pub had a lovely atmosphere and made us feel so welcome. We will definitely be returning. It's hard to find a nice local pub that not only serves excellent food but also has a lovely family atmosphere...this place ticks all the boxes. Thank you to all the staff for making our experience a very enjoyable one."

Lovely place and large gardens always beautifully lit up. Staff greet you with a smile. Food delicious with a good selection on the menu. Would definitely recommend.

Popped in today for a drink, but decided to stay for lunch. Glad we did, the roast beef was beautiful. Staff all very pleasant and welcoming. We'll be back again soon.

Had a amazing time for my daughter's 21st birthday meal there was a couple of meals which came out late but the staff did apologise the rest of the time was great thanks to all off the staff xxxx

This is a beautiful pub with excellent food at a great value. The gardens are frequently illuminated, creating a lovely ambiance. Additionally, the staff are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it!

very busy pub, good work we booked, I had the brisket bark hut cake, very tasty, we all finished our food, children also had pudding, but please check the entry as I was calculated for a free drink, overall a good experience

Absolutely amazing visit!!!! Lovely food, thanks to amazing kitchen staff! Server was Matthew very helpful! Jack was the highlight of the day! Great with the kids, made my daughter who has autism and deaf have an amazing experience!!! Great visit will be back very soon!!

This was my second visit for lunch, and the service and food were once again exceptional. A big thank you to Sally and Hayley for their outstanding attention; they went above and beyond, even accommodating a meal that won't be on the menu this week. I will definitely be returning!

However, the downside was the long wait for drinks, which always seemed to be at the back door. Thankfully, the manager who attended to us provided excellent service that exceeded our expectations. They mentioned they need to hire more staff, and it’s true that some customers might not be willing to wait, especially on a regular day. If I had to wait that long under normal circumstances, I wouldn't be too happy. Overall, we recommend this place and plan to return!
