"Food was poor, poached egg with hollandaise sauce, eggs cold, sauce was a smear, avocado was a dollop that was guacamole seemed of cheap supermarket quality, cheesy fries with BBQ sauce were squares not fries, all quite disgusting, special of stir fried beef needed eating quickly before went cold was ok, beer was from bottom of barrel, Sauvage Blanc was nice. Service was good, but due to quality of food wouldn’t go back Service: Dine in"

Brilliant service, the staff are very attentive and helpful, the food was very nice hence eating there 3 nights on the trot. This is one of our favourite restaurants and go back each year, i would recommend the Alex Cafe and Brasserie to any of my friends.

Went with friends who were staying for the weekend. First visit for me after a recommendation from my husband who had a work meeting over coffee here. We all loved it. Had coffees/teas and cakes. the last night at alex for dinner were not literally and they were very busy, the workers were very courteous, a sorted table. absolutely amazing eating so delicious and fresh and wonderful service were all staff friendly and very efficient. it is now a definitiv one of my favorite places and will come back more often.

Our 'Go To ' place for brunch when visiting Felixstowe, as can eat outside under canopy in most weathers! Wonderful poached and scrambled eggs served by cheerful staff. Only slight disappointment is baked beans have yet again been taken off children 's breakfast and replaced with mushrooms. Not many children like mushrooms so please have beans as an option too!
