"I travel a lot, but I’m an Englishman so I know my pubs this one is a gem. Great choice of beer, I had Dorset Gold, delicious. Food was really good and traditional. Friendly staff where very welcoming and I’ve only had a few Ploughmans lunches in my time but this was easily the best! Table for 2 was too small to fit plates on let alone drinks and condiments. Sunday lunch had plenty of meat but would have preferred more vegetables especially for the price. Sticky toffee pudding portion was excellent and very tasty Service: 5 Location: 3

Disappointing reception for the fourth time! Directed to order a drink before finding a table, without the opportunity to see what was on offer at the bar. We were not allowed into the bar! I could understand such rules in the height of the season, but felt very unwelcoming and unnatural on a quiet Saturday in February. Waited 10 mins for the beer to arrive to our table, to be spilt therefore not a full pint.
