Beautiful location, loved sitting outside with views of the canal. Really friendly welcome.

A wonderful canal side pub. The warmest of welcomes for us and our dog. Food was excellent. Would definitely visit again.

Visited the Boat Inn by canal narrow boat. Had a lovely home cooked meal of lamb chops with mash and vegetables. The ale was good too. Thoroughly recommend stopping here. Mooring available on the towpath side of the canal and there is a bridge across.

What a great pub! located right on the canal. The landlord and lady are so welcoming and sat and had a chat with myself. Telling me they have only been here a few weeks, They have re launched the kitchen and the food is out of this world!! Well if you are looking for a fabulous Sunday lunch come along to the boat inn at Cheddleton you won't be disappointed. Been coming here for a while now and the food has always been good however on our return this time it was under new management so was thinking maybe the food won't be as nice but how wrong I was . Will definitely be back, best Sunday lunch ever and great value for money at £9.99. We had five veg 2 roast plenty of beef mash potatoes Yorkshire pudding and all homemade.

Great location and very good lager. Jubilee Day! Fantastic turnout and busy but prompt service. Memories of 'The Boat ' as it was many years ago. Keep up the good work!! P.S. prices are good too! Alas, all good things come to an end... and new beginnings! Today, we visited to wish Vince and Julia good luck as they left for a new adventure.
