beautiful lobster and cocktail calamari and shrimp starter. followed by cod and chips horses. fender fish perfectly cooked. beautiful atmosphere, good decor. great view. service was timely and friendly, even if busy.

Having been here a few times before thought it would be nice to stop for lunch whilst in the area. Evidently fully booked, yes two tables occupied in view and one behind us. Ah well, possibly next time or possibly not….

really good meal, had the lamb and the bbq huhn, which was amazing, our sever kathy was really friendly and beautiful to talk to. the gloomy was very surprising, the roar was beautiful and warming and the mini deserts were not so mini, which was a pleasant surprise, pictures down of gloomy. beautiful experience Visualizza piatti

Afternoon lunch, service was good, kind friendly staff. We all had lasagna but to be honest it wasnt all that good, tasted cheap microwave version with far to much sause and rashed on meat had grizzly bits in but the sides of garlic bread with added chips onions rings was very nice and the side salad was delicious so not all bad. I would advise to change suppliers on lasagna as disappointing.

we came home last night on the way home. it was great to see that since we last visited the place to have changed the hands. everything looked fresh and well presented. the staff was friendly and since it was quiet, there was no waiting time at the bar. The restaurant seats were well furnished and there were a lot of menus. Outside there was a new large sitting area and a new outside. next time we will stop for eating to try the menu.

This is a fantastic pub! The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming, and it’s dog-friendly while still being exceptionally clean and tidy. The view over Portsmouth is amazing, even from inside. The space is large but comfortable, avoiding a sterile feel, and is beautifully decorated with a contemporary theme. There’s a spacious outdoor dining and drinking area that complements the stunning view. The food is of good quality and reasonably priced. It's definitely worth a visit! Visualizza piatti

I apologize for my delayed review, but I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who worked on November 28, 2017. You helped make our daughter's high school reception truly special. The staff was amazing, the food was outstanding, and the price-performance ratio was excellent. The bar service was also fantastic. My parter and I read so many good reviews of this place, and the second we sat down we were disappointed. The establishment was noisy, and the table service was almost non existent. The drinks arrived after the food had been served, and the quality of the food was terrible. The chicken wings were incredibly dry. The mushrooms had basically been cremated. The sausages we were served had the consistency of cardboard and they tested even worse. The food quality in a Wetherspoons is to a higher standard then here. Safe to say, we won't be eating here again. We were really disappointed with our visit.

Really nice pub, great views of the whole of Portsmouth. The good first, food and service was excellent, 100% recommend! Now the sad bit. My sister and her husband booked this pub for our mothers wake. Many of our guests (15ish) didn 't get their desserts even though it was charged for. The bar staff said we could purchase another dessert as the table 17 tab (our tab) was now closed. We were told the reason was we didn 't eat fast enough and they now didn 't have staff to make the desserts. About 30 mins later the manager came over and offered us a refund on all the people who didn 't get a dessert. He did confirm the desserts were charged for under the table 17 tab.
