"Beautiful old Inn that deserves a visit. Good range of ales and a warm welcome, graced by some delicious food provided with a smile. Mother-in-law had egg and chips, which was plain food cooked well. Just as she liked it. The waitress asked if mum wanted beans with her meal and these were freely produced to enhance her enjoyment. My partner Lynn had a gorgeous turkey brie sandwich, coming with a side salad. Whilst I enjoyed a large bowl of Tomato and Basil Soup with bread butter. Frankly, I would rename the soup as something like: Stupendous! Sumptuous or, possibly, misspell Superb! As all would fit this gorgeous concoction of creamy goodness mixed with spices topped by a sprinkle of Basil. We have noted this little treasure near Birdlip and will pass this way again."

Quaint country pub with a roaring open fire and great food. Also carries a selection of interesting lagers from Cotswold brewery, I particularly enjoyed the Cotswold Winter lager.

We visited on New Year's Eve to meet up with family. It is a lovely pub that feels very cozy. The staff is warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful. The food was excellent, and everything was served at the same time. Thank you!

We had lunch at this restaurant and enjoyed a burger and chips. The meal was flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the chips were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend visiting, as they also offer a great vegetarian and vegan menu. Kayley, the barmaid, was fantastic!

The pub itself is charming and beautifully decorated, with plenty of parking available. We particularly enjoyed the inviting atmosphere created by the open wood fire and a lovely wood burner in the room where we dined. It was so warm and welcoming—definitely a place we'll return to!

This restaurant is somewhat secluded, but it features a spacious garden with beautiful views and a charming interior. The menu is quite unique for a pub, but they execute it very well. I enjoyed an ostrich steak, which was outstanding. The service, however, was average and could use some improvement.

We drove for 2 hours to come and try the food and introduce our 5 month old puppy to the pub environment! It was well worth it for a walk in beautiful surroundings followed by a tasty vegan Sunday dinner with jam roly poly for pudding! The staff were so welcoming, great place and we’ll be back! Thank you P.s. I’m not a professional food photographer but I a dedicated vegan foodie!

I stumbled upon this hidden gem during lunchtime. The interior of the pub has a charming old-world feel, and there's a lovely outdoor seating area that's perfect for sunny days. While you can enjoy a beautiful view outside, there is some noise from the main road. However, if you sit further back in the garden, it’s much more peaceful. The pub has low beam ceilings and is currently undergoing renovations, but it's still open for business. I was particularly impressed by their vegetarian and vegan menu options.

I was casually seeing this girl and we took a drive from Manchester to Stonehenge for the Winter Solstice. Things got pretty awkward when she found out that I had never heard Wham's "Last Christmas." She became really upset and refused to stop the car for most of the ride back. I was starving, and the only thing she would let me snack on were Jaffa cakes. Meanwhile, she kept playing the soundtrack from Footloose while I pleaded for lunch. Eventually, we pulled into this spot, where we mingled with the older locals and enjoyed a lovely meal—plowman’s lunches all around! I highly recommend eating here—but maybe skip dating that girl.

"We visited the Bakers Arms on Sunday, en route to see Giffords Circus in Stroud. It is the last weekend of the season, so for us, an annual visit. I’m so glad we booked, because this is one busy pub! Admittedly, it was a little chaotic parking, however, we managed to park, and the landlady offered our friends The opportunity to park in the private car parking area. There were eight of us in our group. We arrived early, and had some relaxed drinks outside. At 1 pm, our table was ready, two of our guests had not arrived, and I informed the bar we would be delayed slightly, this was not a problem. We were shown to our table, an extensive menu many wonderful dishes to choose from. And we are all pleasantly surprised at the cost. One of our party chose the Vege Burger. Two decided on the Cheese Burgers and the other five of us all had roasts. Three opted for the rib of beef, and my daughter the pork. The meat was so tender and flavoursome, the vegetables fresh and crisp and the roast potatoes just simply perfect finished with stuffing, crackling and lashings of gravy. The service was relaxed and friendly and also very attentive. For dessert, some had ice cream, and my daughter opted for the Banoffee pie. We will certainly return, this time next year without any hesitation and look forward to it. And if you’ve not ever seen Giffords Circus, I certainly recommend it! A fantastic day, with great friends, good food, and a fantastic show! Thanks again."
