Perfect end to a hard week. Manuella was our waitress such a lovely lady. We’ll def be back looking forward to having the delicious whitebait again. Great garden for kids too!

I recently enjoyed a delightful breakfast at this restaurant. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly, and the location was beautiful. I can definitely recommend it and we will be returning on our next walk through the village with our dog.

What a warm (but safe) welcome to a beautiful country pub, a lovely first meal out for me and my family after a long lockdown. Not once did the staff make myself or my family feel unsafe where as other pubs I have been to it has been questionable. The food was spot on and we can't wait to come again soon!

Twice recently we (a group of keen walkers) have used the Jolly Waggoner as a base for a morning walk followed by lunch. Top marks to the pub which is authentically English in the best way and to the staff who are welcoming and attentive. Once we lunched inside and once outside and both times enjoyed good food and attentive service. We'll be back, regularly. Thanks.

Following the earlier reviews we decided to make our lunch stop here after the Halloween experience at Ardeley farm. We had goats cheese salad which was very sparse, a bit of lettuce cucumber and slices of beetroot. Plenty of goats cheese! Really disappointed and quite expensive for what it was. Such a shame. Kids fish n chips looked though. Real log fire was very welcoming.

We went for lunch here on a Saturday with our one year old and loved it. The outdoor area is beautiful with covered seating and a play area that kids loved. The food is delicious and the staff so nice. Just a lovely hospitable, happy atmosphere. The village of Ardeley is absolutely charming and if you have time we’d strongly recommend going around the farm and farm shop next to the pub. Fantastic family day out. Thank you!

I spontaneously went out with my daughter for dinner at the Jolly Waggoners on burger night. We didn't have a reservation, but despite it being crowded, the service was impeccable. We couldn't choose between the Jolly Mac (double burger with cheese and pickles) or the chicken burger, so we ended up ordering both and sharing them. The food was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly, and we enjoyed a complimentary glass of chardonnay as part of the special offer. It was a delightful evening spent in the garden. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We were greeted with a very cheerful welcome, which was a good sign. We confirmed our table before exploring the local area. When we returned, we had a delicious meal and the service was fast, efficient, and friendly. The restaurant is now part of the Church Farm enterprise across the street, and the staff there are just as friendly. We always check the cleanliness of the toilets as a sign of how well-maintained a place is, and they were spotless. It would have been helpful to have the menu available online. Overall, it's a great pub for a satisfying meal or drink - highly recommended.
