"PLEASE SEE UPDATE A very depleted menu on offer, no steak, no this, no that no the other. Very disappointing. I understand that there are delivery problems but to be honest this was ridiculous! Also the place was closing early and we were made well aware of this a good 30 minutes prior to this. A rather strange and uncomfortable dinner sorry to say which is a first, as my dining experiences here are normally first class. Perhaps it was just an off night. UPDATE: Apologies to Inn at Scarcroft Although there were problems that evening, when I spoke to the rest of the party I was with, it appears that I must have been having an off night too. They felt that my review was far too harsh and that I should retract the 3stars and up it to 4. I should also make apologies for being a miserable old B gg r and remember that on every other occasion that I have eaten here (which is many) the service, food and ambiance has been 5 star. Thank you Colin for bringing this to my attention."

The restaurant has a nice cozy atmosphere and provides excellent customer service. The roasted dishes were tasty, but it would have been even better if they had been served hot.

Two of us dined at the restaurant, and the experience was excellent. The staff and management actively sought our feedback, and I provided some constructive criticism on a few areas that could be improved, which they appreciated. I also mentioned that my steak could have been better prepared, but it was still acceptable. The manager worked hard to ensure we were satisfied throughout our meal. Overall, the service was fantastic!

We have been dining here for several years, although we haven't visited much recently, not for any particular reason. We've always preferred this place over the Round Fuchs because the food and service here are consistently excellent, and it tends to be less crowded. Plus, the setting is beautiful. We just dined here again today and enjoyed another lovely meal. I did have to send my steak back because it wasn't cooked to medium rare as I requested, but they handled it very well, and when I received my meal again, it was delicious. My kids also raved about the tomato pavilion. This experience has definitely encouraged us to visit more frequently.
