Fantastic location, we enjoyed a delicious lunch, sat in a beautiful garden. Lots of outdoor space, plenty of tables, excellent friendly service and to cap it all, great food!

Welcoming and attentive staff, lovely food and a great view. Was also nice to see a vegan desert option as this isn't common. Apologies that I forgot to take the picture before tucking in

Popped in for lunch last Friday, sat in the pergola in the gardens, which offered some shelter from the sun. The service was good and the food was very nice. I had the ploughman's lunch and my wife had the lasagna. Would definitely recommend it.

We booked a table on the terrace and were under cover although in the event it wasn’t needed. We shared an excellent plate of nachos with guacamole and salsa. Then the special pork and cider pot with well cooked veg, puff pastry lid and chips....All very good.

Lovely atmosphere and great food. We ate off the specials menu for the mains. Portion sizes were huge. The waiting staff were young but professional and cheerful. The service was quick. Stopped here for a drink on the way home from Tewkesbury to Gloucester. Ended up having lunch because it smelled so good. It was gorgeous. Fish and chips was spectacular, ploughman's was even beyond that, and my year old autistic daughter thoroughly enjoyed her...plate of Nacho's. Not cheap cheap, but reasonable prices for what you get and the quality was brilliant. And even on a cloudy day you get a gorgeous view of the surrounding countryside. We will be back again.

Very poor service. Many junior staff standing around not attending to customers. No management. Food ok, however menu limited to either Christmas menu or main menu. A table cannot deviate..either all have Christmas menu or all have main menu. Staff have no idea...of childrens menu!. No festive music (as some customers wanted). Drink waiters diabolical (die of thirst) waiting...drinks came after food was eaten! Waitress could not add up bill! Quality of food..gravy poured all over dinner..not in a separate jug...however spoilt by service!

We came in for a meal on a Saturday evening. Seated at a table between the bar and the outdoor area in a bit of a thoroughfare. We ordered drinks and these came swiftly. I ordered the sirloin steak and the wife had fish...and chips. They both came and I straight away thought the steak was poor badly trimmed and looked more of a rump cut than a decent sirloin (to compare We actually went to the Jockey Inn the night before and there was no comparison, and it was the same price) We questioned this with the waiter and he confirmed with the kitchen it was a sirloin, so I has to assume it was a cheap cut being put on the menu for extremely disappointing.
