Stayed for drinks and chatted to the locals including the very pleasant and personable manager/land lady. Excellent decor and atmosphere and will certainly go back to try the restaurant."

We had a fantastic meal for a party of 8 at this pub on New Year's Eve lunchtime. The staff were friendly, the food was great, and there was a roaring fire and lovely atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place.

Lovely meal on 25/09/15. Great to have our local back to a bustling and buzzing place. Friendly staff and fab food black pudding, bacon and poached egg salad nom nom nom! Keep up the good work Sporty, pleasure to become acquainted with you again !

Camping with my 16 year old lad and dog (4 yrs). Lad wanted wi-fi, I wanted pint, dog wanted walk. This pub is perfect, close to camp site, wi-fi, excellent beer. Welcoming staff, friendly locals and fellow campers. Not tried the food but others seemed to be enjoying that too.
