a good surprise for our visit this Saturday to the market of Uzès.... the osso buccos , and a mascarpone (for me) and the risotto der la mare and an assagato ( for my wife) accompanied by an excellent little chianti..que of happiness !!!! we do not do better in the trasteverre.

We came home to take a spritz, the accompaniment was more than generous. We then had lunch. the terrace is very pleasant, scented in this season by the starry jasmine. It's the dazzle in the plate. It's good, prices are sweet, waitresses are efficient and friendly. We can only recommend.

We went for a birthday lunch. waiters a little late but the meal was excellent. I got the cute net and husband the boca bone. both very well cooked and with a wide choice of vegetables. My pea risotto was excellent with the zucchini. we were both a little overwhelmed by the quantity but overall a splendid meal.

"Nous y étions pour le repas aux truffes de dim 21. Je l’ai choisi pour sa note Google de 4,7/5. Nous avons tous pris l’option de 20 euros en supplt. de truffe par plat. Nous n’avons pas été convaincu. J’ai pris le filet de poisson, il y avait trop de sauce la saveur et le goût de la truffe ne nous explosait pas en bouche. Ce n’était pas comme chez Bruno à Lorgues. J’ai proposé je pense au patron de ne plus mettre de sauce juste le poisson grillé avec un filet d’huile d’olive et de râper la truffe dessus. Faire simple la truffe seule doit embellir le plat. C’était précisé 20 euros 3 gr de truffe. J’aurais du calculer car j’en ai acheté pour 1,2 euros le gramme. Pour 20 euros je pense qu’il aurait pu nous en mettre plus 3 grammes ne sont pas suffisant. Au final on a donc payer 72 euros par personne. Cordialement"

"Newly arrived in the region, we discovered the Old Café by hearing away from good music and excellent singer. The show on the terrace was first order and after taking a look at the map we decided to have dinner on site. The pleasure will have been as auditory as tasteful, on one side of the Joe Cocker followed by a Nino Ferrer, on the other a serious morito, a good local white wine, a beautiful coastline and real fish chips (net, not simili nuggets as too often). Too tired by a long road and honestly repused we did not test desserts, which gives us a good reason to come back. Update: back in November, the first impression is confirmed with Saint-Pierre, low-temperature cooking chicken and an excellent burger in our plates, all served with a smile. We'll be back with pleasure."

"The best meal I have had in a very long time. Located in a small picturesque village not far from Uzes. From the outside, it looks like a run-down bar-cafe, but the food is incredible! I had the daily special of seiche (cuttlefish) and steamed...potatoes w aioli sauce. The seiche was as tender as salmon steak. The sauce gave a wonderful flavor. Paradise. Served cold (i.e. more or less room temperature) with a nice side salad (and scrumptious tasty bread). Apx euros and worth every centime. The other dishes were euros. My wife and daughter-in-law and her daughter all ordered shrimp in saffron sauce and loved it, Served with great pommes frites (they let me taste). My son ordered veal milanaise( served with an excellent tomato-based sauce and accompanied with al dente pasta. The veal itself was very tasty, which is not always the case these days. After this meal, no room for dessert, but my wife and I could not resist the creme caramel which is unbelievably onctuous and smooth. The others ordered a chocolate fondu cake of some sort, but the creme was so good that I didn't want to dilute the flavor by tasting the cake which they said was intensely chocolaty. In sum, very highly recommended. Food as good as anything I have had in the very elegant St Germain, my previous home. BTW, it was a lovely, cool August evening so we ate outside on a little tree-shaded square surrounded by lovely old stone architecture. If you like that sort of thing, leave time for a stroll around the village. PS -One of the rare occasions to order Jupiler on tap [beer] at a restaurant in this area. Served nice and cold."

"we ate here, without reservation, on Friday of the party, when few restaurants in uzès are at their best. we - four of us - have taken a surprisingly good meal, sitting outside at a slightly shaky table. we shared beautiful duck shinks and tapenade in the entrance, then we separated ourselves: salads, meats, fish - between us covering the main sections of the menu. all were really good, only cheating - in the case of my salad - being much too substantial. the wines were good and at very reasonable prices, the culminating point being a liverna aubaï mema 2006, recommended by one of the working but always smiling hosts, for only 21 €. We're planning to come back soon."

"one day of week in uzès, Thursday evening, few tables available in reservation. We pass by chance in front of the trattoria, no pizza on the map. If we don't have pizza, we'll eat pasta. Very good choice! a friendly and friendly welcome (without reservation, the boss has found us room for 5 on his charming terrace.)
