The food is decent, but the portions are a bit small. There are plenty of intriguing dishes available. It's worth a visit, just make sure to make a reservation beforehand.

delightful staff, excellent food. We were going to Hasting Contempory and this fish restaurant is 2 minutes away in the same road. When revisiting Hastings will certainly return to this restuarant

Lovely restaurant, great food and ambience. Fab staff, we’ll be back! Beautiful aperol spritzs, lovely wine. We had a gorgeous table by the open window on a hot night and the restaurant was fully booked for the evening.

On a long weekend break in Hastings, where we booked table for dinner at seafood restaurant, it’s is a small family owned restaurant, where they serve fresh seafood, we have ordered the king prawns in garlic butter, fried calamari, fish and chips, everything was excellent, service was outstanding,

Hastings, and particularly this area, has seen significant growth. Not long ago, there were no quality restaurants, let alone good ones. Undercliffe House is a standout in this new era, offering trendy dishes with a focus on fresh seafood. While you can still enjoy traditional fish and chips, there are plenty of more adventurous options to choose from.

We enjoyed a fabulous meal on Friday evening. The food was absolutely superb. I had the delicious smoked haddock with spinach and samphire, my husband loved his Cornish monkfish and my cousins were very complimentary about the fish cakes and bartered cod. The staff were great, friendly the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. We shall come again, thanks for a great evening, I hope we weren’t too loud!

Brilliant night! Amazing staff, I have to say the lovely girl who was running front of house this evening has skills to match no other! All staff and the manager were brilliant and so kind, helpful and attentive. Really enjoyed the food and they catered to my little boy like no other place I have visited. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. There is little in the way of comfort here, very basic furniture. The food we had was OK but very overpriced, a squid starter at £14.95 came with no garnish or anything else, £4.95 extra for a small portion of chips made the price ridiculous. Presumably this level of pricing was the reason that despite everywhere else being very busy this place was virtually empty. Certainly we have learnt our lesson and will not be returning.

During our mini break to Sussex and Kent, we visited Hastings and had lunch at a seafood restaurant we had reserved a table at. Although we expected it to be the highlight of our trip, the dining experience here faced tough competition from meals in Canterbury and Rye. We arrived at 12:30 and had the choice of a table by the window for a nice view, but the bright sunlight made it too hot. Another couple regretted sitting there as they wilted under the sun. We couldn't have wine due to a long drive home, so we opted for water instead. The menu included specials like the 'Catch of the day', which was Turbot that day.
