This very tastefully furnished restaurant in the heart of Abensberg offers traditional Bavarian food, all freshly prepared. They brew different types of beer which are definitely worth trying. Wir waren am Feiertag den 05.06.2017 zum Mittagessen Schweinebraten mit Knoedel und Salat dort.Muss sagen, sehr schoenes Ambiente und sehr gutes Essen. Die Kellner/inen waren sehr aufmerksam/freundlich. Fuer uns ist das Restaurant 5 Sterne wert. Immer wieder sehr gerne. Und sehr schnell in Bewirtung. I stayed at the Kuchlbauer hotel for a few nights whilst on business and I was given a newly renovated room on the top floor, facing the town square. I 've been to Abensberg many times in the past, but this was the first time at the Kuchlbauer. It was also the last time... The room was lovely and spacious, bathroom was fantastic, however there were no curtains, only part blinds on the bottom halves of the windows, which seemed a bit odd. The temperature was stifling, and the temperature setting on the wall offered no respite. I enquired if there was air con, or even a fan. The reply was a flat 'no '.
