"Very convenient restaurant just south of Lens and near the Vimy Ridge memorial. Typically French with good choice of meats including some excellent steaks. One of our group was vegetarian and whilst the menu had nothing suitable the chef did made a very nice salad of everything available in the kitchen. The starters were both visually attractive and very tasty. Main course were ample, with tender meat and a mountain of chips. Recommend if in the area."

"A must-see address if you like cozy places, where it makes good rest, the time of a coffee, a dirty crêpe as sweet, a good smoothie very fruity and healthy of course. The team is at the top, renews itself to partnerships with Germany, and is in an inclusive approach. I thank the team for its involvement to treat us in this way, lend us attentive ear in listening and non-judgment, a warm and healthy place of mind as there is little in the area. A thousand thanks to exist!"

"Excellent meal: plays pork with honey, endives with real homemade fries and a good rum baba in dessert where you put the dose of prepared rum. Small advice: the coffee, at the end of the meal, is served in the old (I say no more). Great choice of beers with good pressures; Also at the choice of about twenty gratined faluches (I didn't taste but it looked too good); neat decor and top service (dynamic and always a nice little word for the customers). Prices may be a little high but the quality and quantity are there so prices can be justified."

"We were recommended this restaurant by the owners of the B&B in Lievin where we stayed on our recent trip to France. The name of the restaurant refers to the local mines and the fact it is near pit number 7, the decor inside is made to look like you are down a mine tunnel, with coal like walls and wooden supports and black and white vintage pictures of miners and old mining lamps on the walls.There is a very nice area outside where you can sit and dine, however due to the fact I was in a T-Shirt we decided to move inside. The food was excellent and the service very friendly, we were the only English people in there and the atmosphere was very jovial. There was a group nearby celebrating the birthday of a very old lady and the whole restaurant including ourselves joined in with singing happy birthday when the cake was brought out. The young manager, who was not around when we first arrived, spoke very good English but unless you speak French I would advise making sure you have a translation app on your phone to decipher the menu.I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning when we go back to visit some of the war memorials we missed last time around."
