"We visited Champéry in January 2020 for about 2 weeks. We frequently found ourselves at Chez Joe. Chicken burger and the pork poutine were to die for! It's super casual place and decently priced (cash only) it's not a big place, but if you're an...early eater you'll have no problems finding a spot to sit. I definitely recommend! Champéry is a French speaking region, but no worries if you don't speak it. Most people can speak English quite well! Do yourselves a favour and enjoy a quick and delish meal!"

"Deplorable and disorganized service, during our visit we had to deal with 5 different waiters... None seemed concerned. After finally being able to order the dish of the day recommended by one of them and a cheese crust, which we were served lukewarm after asking where our dishes were, this after half an hour of waiting. .. "Sehr vergessliches Personal! Haben 15 Minuten auf unsere Rechnung gewartet und nochmal 15 Minuten bis wir bezahlen konnten. Beim Tartar mussten wir 5 mal Brot nachbestellen, weil jedes mal nur 3 winzig kleine Scheiben Brot kamen. Die Tataki Bowl war leider nicht so gut, wie angenommen, das einzig identifizierbare war das Tataki."

(Original) We had an overall good stay but there are a few things I think are important to point out for the next guest. So we arrived quite early (13:00) and our room was not ready which is completely fine, but we expected to be able to get the room around 15:00 which was not possible, the earliest check in was 16:00 which made us late for our planned hike. Not dramatic but something to keep in mind when you plan your arrival. Jessica welcomed us to our room which was very clean and nice but also very small. The room itself was a mix between modern chalet and cosy nest, we really enjoyed that. For the Multipass that you can have as a guest you need to know that it is only available the day after your first night after 13.30 pm, which was unclear and means you only have very limited access to it. Also there were too little cards around which led to us waiting for other guests to check out. The most disappointing feature was the breakfast though. Expecting an amazing breakfast due to the pictures and the reviews we were quite disappointed that we only got a croissant and a breadroll with jam and butter. There was no meat, cheese, egg or fruit. On top of that we paid extra additionally to the room for it. So if you need to have more than that I recommend going elsewhere for breakfast and not book it with the chalet. Overall it was ok but for what we got it was definitely overprized in my opinion. My post is meant to be a constructive criticism and I hope it helps other travellers for future stays or the chalet for future guests."

"Very nice random discovery, for a lunch break during a ski day. Breathtaking view of the mountain, very good cuisine, hearty dishes! Wide choice for all tastes. We had the cheese/ham toast, a vegetable soup and a plate of raw vegetables. Very friendly and fast service. Prices remain relatively high, but normal for the location."
