"why this restaurant has so good critiken, makes me enthusiastic. I went to Sicily last year and believe me it wasn't even close. I ordered the thun fishtar with pistacchio cream as starter. first they bring me a teller with half and say. that they ran out of thunfish. when they run out, they tell their guests to order something else, not to show up with half a teller. the pistacchio cream, which is a speciality in silicia, was not existent. the whole dish was simply tasteless. Moreover, they said they would not charge me for a complete starter, but yes. the main was truffel tagliolini, where you could smell the truffle, but hardly see it except the slices above. that means they usually use oil instead of fresh truffle. No, not something I advise to go if they are looking for authentic Sicilian food."

This place is a must if you are in Berlin. The food is extraordinary, presented with great imagination. Fantastic service with very attentive staff and owner. Not to mention the restaurant itself beautifully decorated. You won’t regret!

If you are looking for an informal, friendly and relaxed Italian restaurant with excellent food...look no further. Focaccino has it all! Friendly owner, attentive staff, relaxed ambiance and last but not least yummy authentic Italian dishes. Would highly recommend eating here!

It’s always a brilliant sign to see that the staff at a restaurant are from the country that the food is and these Italians did not disappoint. The food at Focaccino was amazing and the people working there were super nice and attentive. We shared...amazing platters of appetisers and I then had the best carbonara I’ve ever had and we finished off the dinner with some tiramisu.

We had antipasto and pastas. Antipasto miasto was very low quality-all very greasy, heavy and plain in taste. Clams pasta was just pasta with some olive Oil and... clams. I must add that this plate was recommended by the waiter. I could...do it more tasty at home. Bolognese with olives??? No no no!!! Carbonara was heavy and not tasty. Only past with pistacchio sauce was good. I felt this food in my sto ach for the next hours, even after a long walk.

Although I screwed up on my reservation with Focaccino and showed up at the wrong time with our party, they were extremely accommodating found us a table. This is an incredible restaurant. We had the octopus salad which was prepared with radicchio my...husband had the beef carpaccio with chanterelle mushrooms which was very creative delicious. Entrees were also extremely well prepared wonderful, one of which was the special pasta dish with eggplant pesto, burrato almonds as well as the beef ragout. To accompany this exquisite meal we had the perfect bottle of primitivo. Our waitress Annika was extremely engaging throughout the meal. Overall a perfect dining experience.
