"“Fine a real pizza light, delicious and a wonderful place. BRILLIANT” we saw the middle week special offer of each pizza plus a garlic bread for £10 a tasty so that we had it on Thursday with our family at 6.15 warm reception, got a table, asked for a half garlic cheek and the half parma crusty for the child food. of course we had to wait a beer and a wein. they can see how the pizzas are prepared and observe how they are cooked in the log fired proper pizza of. beautifully served, nothing was too much annoying ben was very courteous and delightful. cath was attentive and served us with a smile. in any case the best pizza we had here, all made home with high quality ingredients. the seafood you should die with many king prawns, squid, etc. and super rocket topping. we will be back and recommend to our guests max will try the nutella one next time! check out their website for specials and their menu. open all year. "Firstly, lets start with the good things. We were sat in the window with absolutely stunning views! We visited on a Sunday for father's day, to be told it was only roasts on the menu. This wasn't a problem and the beef, lamb and nut roast was not awful. The roast potatoes were some of the best I'd had in a while. However, after being seated we had to wait about 30mins for drinks, and that was after we ended up going to the bar and asking for drinks. We then placed our food at the same time. Then we waited and waited for around another hour before we received our food, with no other drinks orders being taken. If this was a busy restaurant then I'd maybe understand. But we were one of four tables. The table next to us received starters and then mains before we received anything. More often than not there was no staff member behind the bar or front of house. The waitress was doing her best as they were clearly short staffed, but the wait on food was not her fault. We were understanding they were short, but there was only 4 tables, we shouldn't have had to wait as long as we did. Roasts are one of the easiest things to do and turn around quickly, and considering it was father's day and for the prices we would have expected better. It was £23 for two courses, we were all looking forward to having dessert but because the main took so long to arrive we all decided it was too late and didn't really want to wait any longer for dessert, so we were charged £18 each for our roasts. One of the group last visited October 2022 and was blown away by the food and the service. I'm not sure if it's changed hands since then or what has changed but they really need to have a re think of their service, it's such a beautiful venue, just really let down by the wait and service. But as initially said the roast wasn't horrendous and everyone was so hungry that plates were all finished."

"Instead of the busy pub we had chosen to stay at we found ourselves in an empty, closed pub. We were told that this intermittent closure happens annually at the end of the summer season it is not a result of any national staff...shortage. Clearly the management knew that the pub would be closed before our arrival certainly when they insisted on prepayment as soon as we arrived. However they chose not to tell us. There was no bar no food. The empty pub was not clean the carpets in the entrance, stairs corridors were dirty. Our bathroom smelt damp musty. We spoke to the owner who agreed that she would compensate us with one nights rental. However no payment has been received despite 2 email reminders. This was certainly not what we chose, booked paid for it was appalling."

"The menu offered several vegan options, and we decided to try the vegetable curry and chili. Both dishes were large portions of delicious homemade food, making it a pleasant surprise to discover such excellent vegan cuisine in a small village. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area!"

"Just went here with my family... Over £60 for food and drink for 4. Sent the fish fingers back as they were cold in the middle. I ordered a pizza for £13.50 I'd be disappointed if I'd paid a pound for it from Iceland! It was the worst pizza I've ever eaten, sent that away when the replacement fish fingers arrived and chose to eat the cold chips the served up this time instead. No apology as the serving staff are all under 16 and don't have the training and experience to deal with the complaint. There's one food order till with the senior member of staff and somehow a queue out of the door! It's only not got a 1 star review as the location for drinks is decent and a park for the kids. Don't eat here if you want a bit of value for money!"
