"The entrance to the Kimberley Inn is hidden off the front but the welcome was warm. With a good selection of beers, lagers and ciders on draught there was plenty to choose from. The menu also had a good selection of starters including soups, haggis and pate but we close just to have a main course. The chicken burger was a lovely tasty butterflied breast of chicken in a thin batter with barbecue sauce served with chips and coleslaw. My husband had fish and chips which looked great a large fish in thin crispy batter. It’s about £17 each for main courses but we had no complaints as they were hot and tasty and the service was quick and friendly."

Enjoyable lunch with friends. Really good fish and chips. On the pricey side but good sized portions. Friendly staff and courteous.

Super fresh seafood with a super warm welcome from the friendly team. Great value for money in a cozy old house. Generous portions (almost too much) of whitebait and then mussels to follow. Would return, but it’s a 7 hour drive!!!

Found this place by chance. Food was superb. The soup I had was one of the nicest ones I have had in a restaurant and my husband and friend recommended the chowder. Great location overlooking the water. Reasonably price. Highly recommend

Awesome wee pub in Findhorn. Very clean, very bright inside but still extremely cozy and pub-like. Service was kind, again very pub like. Lovely menu, portion sizes reflecting prices and beautifully cooked! We shared the seafood platter and the mussels- so tasty!

Nice pub but tables are squeezed together and so poor leg room due to unused stools needing to be stored under the table to keep them out of the way. It is dog-friendly but there is little space for them to sit without being under your feet or in the way of the food servers. Fish and chips was sadly very greasy. The other food options looked good though and the staff are very frindly.

The food is excellent and significant portions, but the service arrangement was disappointing. We ate inside and it was essentially self service for menus and drinks. We were seated in the area up from the bar. Literally feet from the bar. Had to get up and get menus. Pay for the meal and drinks up front and pay when we we ordered drinks I get it if we were outside, but inside? It would be so much better if there was even a basic meal service arrangement.

Touring Morayshire we decided to try our luck getting Sunday lunch at this pub. Parking in the street was busy so we weren't sure we'd get in. But we did. The draft cask ale I had was from local Lossiemouth Windswept Brewery and it was excellent. Also available was local cask ale from Aviemore's Cairngorm Brewery. I'd have had both if Scottish drink driving laws weren't so strict. The staff we met were all so efficient and friendly. But special mention for the chef. That was the best Haddock I have ever had. Bar none. Seek this place out. Its terrific.

Not the first time we have been for lunch. Both visits have been a good experience, food plentiful, we describe it as good pub food. Friendly helpful staff who were able to offer gluten free options, without fuss. Food not too hot, this is a comment not a criticism, otherwise we would have raised it at the time. Yes some tables are tight to each other, but it is a catering business which is a pub, low margins and profitable via volume. If you don't like the closeness use the outside seating. Steak pie was tasty, with the fish and chips adapted to gluten free.

"Genuinely couldn't fault the experience. When I heard that the Drouthy had a new menu focusing more on a veggie and vegan base, I knew I had to give it a whirl. The starter of hot Smoked salmon with lemon creme fraiche and oatcakes was simple yet packed full of flavour. I could have easily have had 10 plates of that and been happy to give it 5 stars. My partner had the smoked duck and even though I have given up meat, I was salivating at the look of their dish. They assure me that it was as delicious as it looked. Served with lavender roasted potatoes (which I'm told were amazing and charred salsify. The mains were more than a match for the brilliant starters. If I could give one piece of advice, it would be get the beetroot risotto. Not being a massive fan of beetroot, I wasn't too sure about it. But the incredibly warm waiter (for my son's, I never got his name. I only hope he can forgive me if he reads this! assured me it was tasty. He was not wrong. Beautifully cooked vegan risotto with balsamic beetroot chunks, shiitake mushrooms and rocket, it was simply divine. WHEN I go back, I'll be hard pressed to go for anything else because it was so delicious. It was creamy, packed full of flavour and cooked absolutely perfectly. Just the right amount of bite, nowhere near being mush like you get in a lot of other places (who charge a lot more, by the way . Superb. The highest of compliments to the chef. I was so taken by my dish I forgot to ask how my partner's was until I had eaten all of mine. But their home made vegan tagliatelle had disappeared from the plate so it must have been amazing. I couldn't handle dessert so had a delicious ruby port (delaforce I think it was called , and I would also like to give credit to whoever came up with their wine list. It covered every single base and no-one could ever be disappointed. Finally, if you're ever in Elgin, please make sure this is one of your destinations. You will leave extremely happy."
