"Last August, we visited this restaurant. We included it on our vacation list and had not yet written the review. that we ate well in Variopinto!We went with clear ideas tuna and apart, try some more dishes. very rich the smoky sardine waffle with payoyo, spectacular tuna pier and impressive tuna morm with foie and truffle (a past). They treated us in luxury, but we ate much better. wishing to come back!"

"Hemos pedido prácticamente toda la sección de atún de la carta (está adjunta) y las tostas que llevan atún. Algunas croquetas y ensaladillas varias La calidad del atún es impecable, como hace tiempo que no comía; son cantidades formato tapa por lo que es importante considerar esto en base a cuantos platos pedir. En nuestro caso, queríamos degustar y hemos pedido tapas por cada dos; tiene varios premios de distintos años. En mi opinión personal destaco, en orden de preferencias: el nigiri de atún (es una croqueta), el serranito de atún, taco de atún y “aquí hay tomate”. Este último, el tomate alucinante para mojar. Hemos ido un grupo de 12 y ha salido 25 euros pp, saliendo bien llenos; por lo que la calidad precio es también muy notable. Es un sitio que merece mucho la pena y no lo parece por la fachada, veníamos recomendados. Volveremos y no solo una vez!"

"Last night we had the wonderful experience of dining at the restaurant El Timón located on the seafront of Barbate. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of the place. The dinner we enjoyed was simply outstanding. We started with an ensaladilla rusa that was surprisingly creamy and delicious. And with a toast with tuna cubes that was spectacular. We continue with some homemade croquettes. The options were Iberian ham with mint aioli and half of garlic prawns. We were able to order them mixed, which we appreciate because that way we could try both. And both one and the other, they earned the title of the best croquettes I 've ever tasted. The prawn ones were spectacular, with a taste that made your mouth water, and each bite was an explosion of prawn pil pil flavour. We continued the evening with an Iberian ham plumilla that perfectly complemented the dinner. And to top it off, the desserts, a Kinder cake and a Lotus mousse, were real pleasures for the palate. Both were delicious and left a sweet memory in our dinner. Overall, El Timón is a place that I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Barbate. The quality of the food is exceptional and the ambiance along the boardwalk adds a special touch to the experience. The only small disappointment was that, unlike other tables, we were not offered the dishes that were off the menu. And we found out at the end of dinner because a table that sat next to us was told. Still, despite this, it was a wonderful dining experience. or we were offered non-carte dishes when we were almost finishing dinner. Don 't hesitate to try this place if you get the chance, you won 't regret it!"
