"This is definitely Bangor’s best kept secret!! Visited here on a recent Saturday evening, they seem to be operating two sitting so we chose the earlier one at 1745. We were first to arrive and shown straight to our table by an extremely pleasant waitress. We were given breads and she opened our BYO wine. The menu is fantastic, well laid out with an emphasis on fresh fish. Despite this I opted for chicken liver pate followed by a delightful sirloin steak. The food was absolutely faultless, the staff were fantastic and the prices were unbeatable for the quality of food. The set menu offers 2 courses for a mere £25. I have visited other fine dining restaurants in the Bangor area and this one is head and shoulders above them in terms of price and atmosphere. I was on the fence at actually submitting this review as I would like this place to remain a bit of a locals secret but if you are in the area definitely give it a try. You will not be disappointed!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our meal recently at The Boat House in Bangor. We had the course tasting menu and appreciated the flexibility that was offered. The two outstanding courses were the pigeon and the lemon curd but everything was good.We had wine by the glass but were able to choose interesting options. Service was slightly slow at the start but then picked up and was friendly and engaging throughout. We definitely recommend giving The Boat House a try and will aim to return on a future visit to Northern Ireland"

"We had another fantastic meal at this restaurant! It is definitely worth the trip. The staff are very friendly and efficient, always making time for a chat and making us feel welcome. The prices are great and the portions are generous. We have tried three different items from the menu so far and they were all excellent. We appreciated the small cup of soup and wheaten bread to start. The chef deserves lots of praise. The atmosphere is cozy and overall we had a wonderful experience. We would give it a 10/10 recommendation. Ivan and Amy are such a credit to the place, they work so hard. Thank you for another lovely night."

"My first time in The Rabbit rooms, I love the light shades! we 'popped ' in for a quick/cheap bite before going to The Courthouse, what a lovely surprise, I actually wish we had just spent a couple of hours there, where the seats were comfortable, the food delicious and the staff treated us old pensioners like we were quests in their own home, the quantity and quality of our meals punched well above 'pub grub ' and that lovely big open fire made it hard to leave. And, it turns out they always have deals on food, making this a really great value place to eat at any time."

"I just returned from Kook and it was amazing. It was my first time there but it definitely won't be my last. I ordered a salt and chili chicken wrap with salad and chips. The wrap was huge and incredibly tasty. The staff were very friendly, even though they were busy and short-staffed. I can't wait to go back and I highly recommend this place.
