Vallocaia - Menu

The food is splendid here. High quality ingredients, delicious, excellently presented. Service was lacking, the odd order forgotten about and needed reminding, but I can't fault the food and drink. Will certainly go again.

We selected this restaurant for a dinner with friends, it was the second time there. Everything was just right, from the greeting when we arrived, the table we got, the food and especially the service. Our server was one of the best we ever had,...very attentive and served with a nice pace. We really enjoyed the evening in Vallocaia.

Great Italian cuisine We loved everything. The tomato and burrata starter was delicious. I had the ravioli with sage and butter sauce and my wife had the gnocchi. Best Ravioli I've ever had. Location was perfect next to our hotel, Old Town Hotel. The staff was great. Nothing better then enjoy a great meal seat outside on an old historic stone road in spring

We stayed at a hotel just down from Vallocaia. Only ate there once and it was the highlight of our time in Zurich. The appetizer of tomatoes and Buratta cheese was great. I had the pork filled ravioli in butter sauceand my wife had the...Gnocchi. Mine was the best ravioli I ever had, delicious! The wife loved her dish. Wait staff was awesome. Highly recommend

Food was delightful- risotto and beef were delicious. The staff on the other hand was not so nice: acting very superior, the head waitress was rolling her eyes at other customers, made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. This experience made us eat faster, skip...dessert all together and leave in 35 mins. To sum it up this was an example of a postcard picture not looking quite as impressive in reality. Pity.

Excellent Italian restaurant in the middle of Zürich ! We had the tomato pasta (home made pasta and the risotto with truffles. It was delicious. The staff is really efficient and nice; we had a really good time for dinner here. I will come again to try the gnocchis with melanzane. We also had the affogato and the vanilia ice cream : The mood inside is really nice also. If you are looking for a nice Italian diner in Zürich, I highly recommend !

My girlfriends and I are touring Switzerland and heading to Italy tomorrow. Fortunately for us, we stumbled upon this gem. Our waiter, Valentino was even better! He welcomed us in, engaged with us, made food recommendations and even shared his Italian culture with us to...prepare for our trip. Considering the abysmal Zurich cuisine this was a good relief. I had the Gnocchi with shrimp and artichoke rockets with Syrah. My girlfriends got the Lamb chops which were cooked to perfection.

I used to love this place. I have to say that quality of service is hit or miss, because they change the personnel quite often. Their food is good if you stick to the traditional pasta and tomato dishes. However, they are too heavy in...the oil. Everything is really oily and I have seen that in too many opportunities, reason why I decided to write today. I only stick to their pomodoro sauces (very good), because the others will be fat floating on the plate. If they improve this and get more consistent with the service, they will get better reviews. The atmosphere is really nice.

Si le gusta la comida italiana en Zurich ,no la podrá probar al menos que se acerque a Vallocaia. Paramos porque me parecíó bastante típico y acogedor . Una elección perfecta! Al servicio le daría un 10 (los camareros hablan italiano, entonces usted puede pedir los platos directamente en italiano) . En primer lugar nos trajeron pan con aceite de oliva. El plato de gnocchi que pedí era tan grande que no lo pude terminar. La superficie de la pasta viene salpicada de queso rallado fresco y dejan un rallador sobre la mesa por lo que si lo deseas, puedes agregar más queso parmesano a voluntad. ¡Grana Padano es estupendo sobre la pasta! La comida con la bebida le costará alrededor de 24 francos su...
