"I couldn’t have found a better place to cure my past night’s debauchery. Ordered the braised beef cheeks with seasonal vege and a grainy mustard mash. Was an orgasm to my taste buds. Got the cheapest Argentinian bottle as hair of the dog. This was pleasantly crisp and refreshing and went down well. Staff were absolutely brilliant, cute and attentive. P. S: loved the looked of the chefs through the window. Especially the lady with the side cute and bling top hair. Thank you ever so much for the brilliant service."

Fantastic food, drink and service. We had young children with us and they also lapped the food up. Staff were really attentive and kept them entertained.

We've eaten a few times and the food has consistently been delicious, with a good range of dishes. Service is also great, the waiter was so helpful and lots of fun. Recommended.

Marathon relay team met here for dinner on the Sunday of the busy bank holiday weekend. Food was fantastic, a nice spacious table was provided at the front window, staff were absolutely brilliant, and would very much recommend for Sunday lunch, or probably any meal for that matter.

Shed Bistro never fails to provide excellent food. The food is literally out of this world we have been many times and have never been disappointed. The service is exceptional and they treat their customers like royalty nothing is a bother. If you haven't been to this gem of a place you're missing out big style. Keep up the great work Shed Bistro

Four adults and two children had a very very nice meal in the Bistro yesterday evening. Each adult ordered a different meal from the others and the comments from all were excellent . I would thoroughly recommend the Shed Bistro for an eating out experience. The menu was varied and as well as some standards there was also some more interesting options. I hope to revisit soon.

Absolutely fabulous! From entering Shed Bistro to leaving was a wonderful experience. Host was fabulous knew a friend's taste, and needs (very fussy). Restaurant is spotless with a well curated wine cocktail list. Also, they have cocktails for drivers which is brilliant! Looking forward to visiting again. The dishes we ordered was executed to a very high standard. Well done Shed Bistro!

Had such a nice time. We were able to order on the patio, no questions asked (not always the case in Belfast) and they even offered us blankets. The food (steak frittes and fish and chips) was excellent. They brought out a bottle of filtered water. Craft beer option was delicious. Overall, all the service was exceptional. If you're COVID conscious and want to eat out on a patio, this is a great option.

Visited Shed Bistro last week and everything from start to finish was superb.. The atmosphere, the staff, the food most importantly, the wine! This is the nicest restaurant we have been to (as of yet) post pandemic and we like to get about! The menu read like a fairy tale of food. We will be back.. but with an army next time! Thank you to the staff that served us and sorry for being the last ones out but we wanted to lick our plates clean!

"enjoyed our evening in james st it was the best culinary experience of our trip! we had been happy to see this evening as we had a few hit-N-seals in the course of our trip to belfast. we were not disappointed and had the fabulous evening. we were quickly welcomed and sitting. the place is beautiful and spacious. revitalized and environment. the bar is great and would like to come back, only for drinks at the bar sometime. we ordered cocktails immediately. an Irish gin negroni and a traditional old fashion. my neger was absolutely excellent. I think the old fashion could have been done with real sugar cubes and not sugar syrup, but it wasn't too bad. we were quick to choose our wein. we chose a beautiful juicy red, the cline, the old vine zinfandel, 2019. to begin we had the ham hock terrine with piccalilli champ bread and some scallops with boar bell. the hanging-hock court was the best ham-hock I had. the homemade piccalilli was something else. really nice crispy and sharp sharp to help cut through the hammock and the champbrot was delicious crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. the scallops and black bells were disappointing, as they lacked no salt or genuine aroma or texture between them. we still ate it and shared the rest of my hammock. we both decided to go for the co. tyrone 270g fillet steak with sides of champ and truffle parmesan chips. red wine and pfeffer sauce. they were fantastic steaks. Actually, I didn't think I would finish mine, but I did. I have met the right choice with the jus and the truffle chips. they went so well together, the dryness of the parmesan and sweet, slightly greasy of the jus. the steaks were perfectly cooked. a medium and my medium rare. fantastic aroma on the grilled outside of the steak and beautiful texture when they pierce. we both agreed that the champ was the best champ we ever cost. it was hot, soft, so well aromatized with hot butter on the top of the copper serving pot melt. it was really the most incredible champ. I was too full of dessert. but my sample ordered the sticky toffee pudding sundae. the team was friendly enough to make me an espresso martini that was both decaf and not a sugar syrup. it was brilliant. we both managed to work our way, although a surprisingly light sticky toast desserts on Sunday. the team was fantastic. very friendly and chatting to us. the bar team did not stop, I had the pleasure of standing and watching them make a great selection of drinks and cocktails. the waiting staff were also very friendly when they check in with us at comfortable places to ensure that we were in order. we felt very well looked around. the service was very good, we didn't feel any hurry, it felt like such a free time in this restaurant. when we come back to belfast, we will be back in absolute terms and we will definitely recommend others. Thank you."

"I'm an American. I was invited to work at the queen’s university in a global conference. my airline has moved my baggage, so I stopped in the barking dog to use her wlan to check the status of my baggage and have a drink and a snack with my associate who has unusual allergies. the menu had nothing to call us, so we have decided to finish and move only our drinks./ at no point has anyone informed that it is illegal to have only drinks, and our server ran our review without mentioning any legal requirements. After I paid, someone who I suspect, the manager, came to the table and checked our reception. exactly what I thought was what they said before they cheated on me how it is illegal to buy drinks in a restaurant without eating. I apologised and explained that I had no warning. I offered to buy food retroactive and they refused. then they repeated that I was in a restaurant and not in a pub and that my activities were illegal. they denied my multiple attempts to apologise me while I explained that I am not out of the opposite. this experience was very confusing for me, because the night before me had drinks in a restaurant without food and it was no problem. in any case I was told that there is no such law and that the ordering of drinks without eating in a restaurant is very common. I've never been treated so badly in a customer service dynamic and I'm not sure why this happened. I feel targeted and totally mistreated for what does not seem to be a good reason. To finish it, it was my birthday. complete error in the name of what this person was. I will say the rest of the staff was very pleasant and accommodating."
