"Been here tonight with 6 adults and 5 children for a Family celebration. I dropped the cake and banners off the night before and they sorted everything out ready for us to arrive. We use amigos alot when we have family occasions as there is a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff who can't do enough for you. Especially the Manager who is always brilliant with the children and he is always very chatty and assertive. Cannot recommend the place enough. The food is always amazing and we always feel comfortable and at ease with their patients when eating with small children. Looking forward to our next visit!"

"Kirkfield is a charming restaurant with a slightly confusing layout upon arrival. The staff was very friendly, from the phone call to confirm a table to the waiter who joked with us about St. Patrick's Day. The service was excellent. The fish and chips were amazing, with my wife loving it and me also enjoying what I stole. The chips were fantastic. However, the burger was disappointing and overpriced at £14. The meat was clearly reheated and had bits of artery in it. The mac and cheese, on the other hand, was delicious with a good amount of sauce and crispy topping. Overall, it was not a terrible experience but not outstanding either. I may not rush back due to the hit-and-miss quality of the food. Give it a try, but skip the burger and go for the fish and chips instead."

"Been visiting here for 13 years absolutely LOVED FOOD and STAFF. Past few years new landlady in charge. Poor service! Food not as good. Paid for roast dinner never arrived landlady accused me of not paying. Turns out I did pay, apology was in form of a drink poor customer connection. she needs to understand her attitude reflects upon her staff and affects her staff morale and her customer service. Used to be a fabulous pub, would not recommend unless leadership changes. Such a shame because great music, and wonderful outside dining."

"They couldn’t care less about allergy sufferers. Rang up for a takeaway and told the lad I had a severe peanut allergy. Asked if the korma contained peanuts and he said no just almonds and coconuts. I couldn’t have made it any more clear he needed to tell the chefs. But his blasé attitude on the phone had me guessing. Having tasted a tiny amount of korma, that’s when I knew something wasn’t right as my peanut allergy started to flare up. The wife rang up and demanded the lad on the phone ask the chef how he made the meal. He replied “oh I threw a few ground peanuts in, you can come and collect another meal if you wish”. At least they admitted it. Absolute joke of an establishment, they could have killed someone. Stay away if you have any kind of food intolerance!"
