"Terrible. I ordered momos, Everest lamb and steamed rice. You get about 10 momos with the broth and side which is acceptable for £10. On a first bite yes they are nice but then you look and realise they are all far too uniform and are shop bought absolutely not made on the premises so I could have zipped to oriental express and got some for the freezer! No happy. The broth was a bit bland. Then we move to the curry do you think the customer is stupid? I could taste allspice and it hadn’t cooked out so was horrible and overpowering. The lamb was as tough as old boots so had not cooked off enough either. I was gonna give leftovers to my teen son but I chucked it down the toilet instead as I want him to know quality and this was not how Nepalese food should taste. What sort of clowns are running this parade?!!"

"I wore up without reservation and they kindly equipped me with a timeline that was great. I started with the sweet choir and chicken soup that was good, but nothing exciting. I had a last minute change of heart after I saw the char sui on the menu and added the fried mushroom rice. the tear should have cloged in him and for a five it should have, not. it was also a little oily. my head came with steamed brokkoli, which was unfortunately cold. the char sui had too much five seasoned for me and it overwhelmed every other taste. it wasn't like char sui. I finished all my food so it's decent, maybe my expectations were high, I would try it again. updated by previous review on 2022-09-15"

"What an experience Skosh is! Was really looking forward to trying and booked quite a way in advance for our anniversary. Beautiful small plates, can highly recommend the duck breast, chicken gochujang, tempura brocolli and pork belly. Everything seems so well considered, maybe an obvious thing to say, but not every considered decision results in such a beautiful outcome. Even down to the crockery choices. I wish it were bigger, the small table for two is small. Some of the seating options are more of bar stool arrangement, which isn't for everyone, me included. Skosh is a real pearl of find in York. Definitely go, it's not just dinner: it's an event."

"The Lemon Sugar crepe came loaded with cinnamon by default. I am allergic. When i pointed out that Cinnamon was not noted as contents the manager tried to justify it by saying the business was not obligated to tell me what was in the crepe Then she came over to where I was sitting to tell me again how she was right and I was wrong Eventually the manager gave me a full refund. But really I wasn’t looking for that. I was just looking for a simple and much cheaper apology."

"I cannot express enough how amazing this place was! The food was unreal! Steak melted in my mouth, every single dish was so full of flavour, the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food! Then the staff! The server when we visited was amazing! He usually works in the kitchen and was serving on the evening we visited- but he was brilliant! Service was great, his customer service skills were fabulous and really added to the whole experience drastically! I really hope he gets his refurb done in the coming weeks and that it is all worth it! A beautiful, very small, independent restaurant, but I will certainly be returning the next time I visit York! I urge everybody to go, get booked in, and have a beautiful evening there!"
