So glad we stayed here. Cannot fault anything. It 's the place we 'd love to be 'Snowed In ' as it was so welcoming. Food, Atmosphere, Service and Staff were amazing. Can 't wait to return. Stopped at the Kings Head for just one night whilst walking the Dales High Way. The room that i stayed in was a double and was comfortable enough for one but it would’ve been a little crowded for two. Had fish chips in the restaurant which were excellent and so was the breakfast the following day. The place was tidy and well kept. Rooms: 4 Service: 4 Location: 5

Stayed 3 nights, home base for adventures to see the Fell ponies, explored the Yorkshire Dales and southern part of Lake District. We took the train up from Euston London to Oxenholme, car hire in Kendal then short 30 minute drive to Kings Head. Filling breakfast and dinners of meat pies, fish and chips, pizza and kebabs. All staff attentive and friendly. Beautiful location next to small river. Rooms clean and recently renovated. Comfortable stay at the end a day of fun.
