"Being Greek I thought we'd give this place a shot. The chicken gyros was small oil-fried pieces of chicken, when they were questioned if that was gyros they responded: yes, this is how we make it. Also ordered the lamb kebab which was burned on one side and pink on the other side. The place was empty at the time we ordered, really not happy with the dishes. I would give it another go maybe at some point."

"Disappointed with the food and some of the service this evening. The burger was as if it was frozen and served up, had nicer patties for a couple of quid from a kebab van. Definitely wasn’t prepared in house and fresh. No seasoning to the patty and rubbery texture was offered something else but service was slow people in the restaurant waiting a long time for puddings even though it wasn’t busy and tbh the burger really put me off trying something else just to be disappointed again. The beer was off. Just very disappointing. Had to call in and get some dinner from the local co op on the way home. On the way out was told that the burger was new to them and the chef agreed it wasn’t very nice, well surely if it’s new they should be trying it before sending it out on the menu for service and also in an establishment like this shouldn’t they be making up their own burgers not buying pre made in?"

"Great food in an atmospheric setting. Will suit people of all ages and food tastes. Our choices were a fillet steak, a mixed grill with every choice of meat imaginable both accompanied by fries and seasonal veggies also ours were wonderful pork tenderloin on a bed of mash with cabbage. All eaten with gusto. Sweet treats were the lemon posset, bread and butter pudding . Will I be returning, most certainly! Service: 5"

"Simply Top Notch! We recently stayed at this gorgeous cosy gem of a place with friends for a weekend and absolutely loved it! Adam and the team were super welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Food portions are very generous, delicious and nicely presented! Great Vegan drinks options too! Added bonus was the evening entertainment by a local musician and we ended up dancing and singing the night away to the loved classics! The next morning the team had also brought in a TV for us to enjoy watching the Women’s World Cup! Oh and the rooms are spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. Great shower and super comfy bed! Finally, plenty of car parking spaces and our furry friends are also welcome. Look forward to visiting very soon."

"Feb. 2022. This now well established and popular venue, continues to produce provender of the highest quality. I have been attending the establishment for many years now and it remains one of my favourite restaurants. This night the lamb shank Agnello Brasato was a melt in the mouth shoulder of lamb on a generous bed of mash pototo, brocoli and heritage' carrots. The cheesecake Torta di Formagi came with a topping of tart blackberries, a good foil to the cheese. And of course, the Sanglovese Rubicone, to wash it all down with. Probably the most agreeable house red' in any Italian restaurant. December 21 The panic (of them leaving) is over, but the pandemic remains. The spaghetti bolognese, mixed up like it should be, is beyond reproach and the Fragola e Lampone dessert, comes out better with every presentation. GOOD NEWS BAD NEWS. Aug 2019 Having eaten here often and always finding both the service and the food up to expectation, both waifu and I agreed to visit this establishment for our (whatever-it-was) th anniversary. Booking in advance and mentioning the occasion, the staff had placed roses on our table and we were treated to a complimentary aperitif. The food (taken from the lunch menu) met expectations as did the house red, a modest but pleasing Sangiovese Rubicone 2018, which washed down the meal very well. The day was cold, but the sun shone through the windows, the staff were attentive and amiable and all made the lunch experience most agreeable. That's the GOOD news. The BAD news, is they are leaving. Avaricious land-lords demands have induced a going concern to take their business elsewhere. So, dear reader, if you wish to experience this excellent establishment or wish to do so again, get a wiggle on they will be gone beginning in July. Moving to Winford apparently but more of this later."
