This pub is excellent! The atmosphere is fantastic, the ales are top-notch, and they even welcome dogs! Jane, Nigel, and the staff are incredibly friendly and chatty. I will definitely make the 3-hour journey back again. Service: 10/10 Location: 5/5

had no reservation for a Saturday evening, but our host managed to eat it in (including our dog,) was excellent and complemented with very friendly and competent staff. would highly recommend this dog and family friendly pub, has a nice and comfortable to the earthy atmosphere.

I had a fantastic time at this restaurant with wonderful staff! I heard rumors that the Pub is haunted - there was definitely a strange energy inside, but I absolutely loved it. Any ghost or paranormal stories to share? The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch with a rating of 5 out of 5.

Amazing food!!! I have ate here several times now and have thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience each time. Owners and staff are lovely, friendly and attentive and offered my father in law an indigestion tablet as he wasn't feeling too well. Pet friendly. I would definitely recommend coming here!

We decided to have a spontaneous lunch at Stag's Head and we were impressed. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, even though we didn't have a reservation. We sat at a cozy table by the fire and indulged in two generous platters with drinks and coffee. Our server was attentive and even accommodated my wife's dislike for eggs by substituting an extra pickled vegetable instead. Whether you're just passing through or staying in town, I highly recommend this establishment.

I ordered the lamb curry special, while my dad tried the famous steak and ale pie. My dad claims it is one of the best pies he has ever had! The curry was also delicious. The staff was very friendly and it was great to see many locals dining here, which is always a good sign. They have a good selection of beers and the prices are very reasonable. If you are looking for a great British pub meal, you won't find much better than this. This is definitely the top food option in Dunster!
