"the hop vine is one of my favorite places to eat in the opposite and has not dined here for a past. we had the steak ale pie, hunters chicken and for the desert apple pie cheesecake. Why, if one of my favorite places to dine, I give 4 stars....simple... the hope vine has set high standards with our earlier visits and this visit was very good, but not as good as before (now we have shared here haare) as it was very good. I think it was because we enjoyed our desert more than the main course. the personal here is very good and I mean very good and friendly some of the best in the opposite. a wonderful selection of real ales. I wish I could set the star rating to 4.5, but can only set 4 and not fair to set 5 if I know and have experienced the hop vine in his best before. if I were to come back, I would definitely recommend everyone. one of the best pub restaurants in the environment."

"This was our first visit and after looking at the positive reviews we thought we would give it a try. We had an early evening reservation which gave access to the 'happy hour ' menu pricing mains at £8.95 which supplements on certain choices. We had three different choices of Lasagne, Chicken Diane and Sea Bass followed by sticky toffee pudding. All the food was excellent, nicely presented with good portion size. The restaurant was very busy and while we were seated immediately, it was clear some larger parties were having to wait for tables to be cleared. Decoration inside the restaurant is contemporary and classy but the absence of any softer fabrics meant the restaurant was quite noisy. The restaurant also appeared to be geared towards larger parties and the configuration of tables meant that you may be seated quite close to other diners. Overall though, the experience was good, service polite and efficient with ample car parking on site."

"Great food! Unfortunately the manageress is not very friendly. Took ages to place order and get food which is ok as they were busy and we were understanding. When asking the manageress for the oil and balsamic to go with the bread she abruptly put on table with no dish. Then asked if we needed more drinks which never arrived. Parking: Situated directly adjoining the restaurant. About 30 spaces available Service: Dine in"

"OMG! I would highly recommend here. I went today with my Wife and kids, my wife and I got the roast platter with cauliflower cheese on the side all of which was seriously tasty. Good quality food and cooked to perfection. We all had sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. 100% recommend Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5"

"Seven of us arrived at 5:30 PM on Tuesday. We placed our orders, and although the restaurant wasn't busy, most of our meals arrived fairly quickly except for one, which I suspect was forgotten. Three of us ordered the salt and pepper chicken, priced at £16.50, which I found to be quite expensive. To say it was disappointing would be an understatement—the rice was so clumped together that we had to slice it apart. The chicken was just okay, and the chips were also average, but for £16.50, I expected much better quality. We were on a tight schedule, or we would have raised our concerns, which we definitely should have done. We won't be coming back any time soon. The meal was pricey and not worth it. What a letdown, especially since this used to be one of my favorite places to eat. On a positive note, there is plenty of parking available."
