This is a wonderful restaurant. Food excellent and the Maitre D so helpful, explaining the menu in English and being prepared to adapt the dishes to our wishes. It had a lovely, family atmosphere.

visited this restaurant with the family of our exchange student when we visited his family after returning to home. the tarte flambee was fabulous and we ordered more. also pot au feu tried, which was also sensational. the service was attentive and very welcoming....A very good restaurant in traditional environment that is worth looking for.

Dans un cadre magnifique et typique , aussi bien en intérieur qu'en extérieur sur la terrasse , vous sera servi une des meilleures tartes flambées de la région .La cuisine d'Hervé est tout simplement une cuisine du terroir de haut vol , avec en primequelques suggestions toujours pleines d'à propos , sous le regard bienveillant de son épouse Myriam .Courrez y , vous y reviendrez ...comme nous depuis plus de vingt ans !

beautiful restaurant that reflects the Alsatian interior of the last century, it is simply a cozy place where you feel like home. the owner and the personal still wear the traditional dresses, very elegant. from several places you can see the open fire oven,...or directly in the flawless kitchen. Eat delicious and I can not wait to see the open terrace during the summer time, right next to the river zorn. you need to book well in advance (at least one week before)

Best experience ever in an Alsacian restaurant. Though it is located outside Strasbourg, at a 20 min's drive north, you won't regret the trip! The food is absolutely delicious, prepared with fresh local products, and the dishes are beautifully dressed. A delight for your eyes,...and an amazing culinary experience. In summer, the terrace is just wonderful.. I am dining there almost once a week now, and the owner, Myriam, is always friendly and welcoming. Can't wait next time! :

This restaurant is the best place to eat high quality traditional Alsacian food, but also more sophisticated meals. I often go in this restaurant with my family and it is always a great moment. If you are looking for an authentic and balanced tarte flambée,...this is the right place that will make you addict... The restaurant is nicely decorated with old Alsacian objects, but also with nice modern patchworks on the walls, which gives a very warm welcoming atmosphere. The place is quite small, but during summer it offers a large outside terrace.

Restaurant au cadre idyllique en terrasse, mobilier moderne, service de qualité et au petit soin.Néanmoins nous avons été déçu de la carte, il est proposé que deux types de tartes flambées : normale ou gratinée. Nous aurions aimé varier les plaisirs avec une munster, forestière ou encore ail et ciboulette ...Les viandes et salades sont peu nombreuses, il n'y a en a pas pour tout les goûts mais on devine une cuisine du terroir avec des produits de qualité. Le dessert était fabuleux, une crème brûlée légère et fondante en bouche, une chantilly faite maison aussi légère qu un nuage.Carte des vins un peu chère ( pinot noir ) du coup nous nous sommes diriger vers un rosé.Soiree sympathique tout d...

I have been already few times. I came to know this place by a total coincidence...we were starving and looking for a place to eat just before coming back to Luxembourg. When I go to Strasbourg or I have visits from overseas I ALWAYS bring...them here because as I said in the title of this review, it is the BEST restaurant I have ever been. I have been and lived in many countries and believe me, this place is a total gem. Your Alsacienne experience starts since the beginning on. The place is beautifully traditionally decorated, you are welcome by the staff...from the entries to the main dish and dessert...is AMAZING GOOD, fresh food, artisanally done...believe me ANYTHING you order from their...

we are so grateful for sarah in au crocodile that they recommend this place for our last night in Alsace. we started with some of the local (and very cheap weine to go with our appetizer a tarte flambé with mushrooms. before it was served, the cook(? brought us an amuse bouche from a rich mushroom veloute, with mushrooms, roasted chestnuts and some sweet perhaps sweet potato? in any case it was absolutely delicious, and a wonderful opportunity to begin our meal. next, the tarte flambé was impossible to get thin and crisp crust with a light char, with a perfect balance of creamfraiche, lardons, swirling and mushrooms. next my man chose the bouchée as recommended by sarah while I had the venis...
