"We visited for my husbands birthday and didn’t opt for the tasting menu as I’m pregnant and therefore wouldn’t be able to eat all the courses. Unfortunately by opting for the a la carte, we were largely forgotten about and had to work very hard to get any service and had a long wait between our three courses. The food we ate was delicious and service was lovely when we got some attention but we did feel like second class citizens due to our a la carte choice. We were also initially shown to a random table by the entrance outside of the main restaurant on arrival, which was disappointing considering I’d requested a nice table for my husband’s birthday. There was also no recognition of my husband’s birthday, which I thought was poor. This was our most expensive meal of the holiday so I left feeling rather disappointed. I’m sure if we’d had the tasting menu we’d have had a better time, but I wish we’d gone elsewhere to celebrate."
