"I planned my trip to dartmoor to visit this pub. I went years ago and thought it was great. I waited with my dog and partner in the car for it to reopen at 6. Went in and was welcomed, they gave the dog some water. They took drinks orders. Soon after the lady owner started shouting at me saying to keep my dog in one area. He was on a lead so i said where would to like him to go? She continued shouting and saying she had people over for dinner and the dog is making the floor dirty. He is a medium sized cockerpoo and the floor is dark stone so we were confused as to why the dog wasn't welcome. She said we can go if we want which made us feel like we ought to. She continued shouting about the trouble we caused for making the floor dirty and wasting our drinks. We didn't say anything back to her yelling and she gave us no choice but to leave. I checked ahead and they say dogs are welcome. It was all a but bizarre and very disappointing."

"The food at this restaurant was delicious and the service was fantastic. The bathrooms were clean, and there were plenty of vegetarian options available. I had the zucchini garlic pasta which was yummy. I went for dinner and the price per person was between £10-£20. I would give the food, service, and atmosphere all a 5-star rating. I highly recommend this place for vegetarians as their offerings are clearly labeled on the menu."

"A very friendly café. Situated in the town center with indoor and outdoor seating. A comprehensive menu covers all day dining. The food is freshly prepared so expect to wait a little during busy times. Our breakfasts were substantial, well cooked and served. The cafe also does take away food and deliveries. The toilets are clean and there is plenty of hot water. The cafe is close to free parking , numerous shops, banks and other eateries. It is open on Sundays."

"A group of 8 family and friends went to Casa Paco to celebrate my daughters Uni graduation. From the outside I was worried about what the experience was going to be like! We found a true Welsh welcome, a warm and inviting interior, excellent , friendly and professional staff and the food was incredible! We were looked after from start to finish , they even allowed us to decorate our table with balloons and confetti. We had a superb evening, this place is a true hidden gem! It didn’t cost the earth and was excellent value for money. Thank you all for looking after us and compliments to the chef from us all, I look forward to visiting again!"

"I visited Marcos today with a friend for her first visit, we won't be returning as we had a coffee and a cake, the coffee was like warm water with a splash of coffee which I couldn't drink but the worst thing of all was the grubbiness of everything, the tables and chairs needed a good clean and the whole inside sitting area could do with a jet wash, we didn't stay because it wasn't a pleasant experience so when leaving we went to put our rubbish into the bin provided next to serving hatch and it was literally full to overflowing onto the floor which to be honest finished our last visit to Marcos. I used to live in Barry and frequently visited Marcos but today I was very disappointed how it has become so shabby considering that it is a place that Gavin and Stacey fans have on their bucket list of places to visit.
